Not an expert here. In your video, it looks like the spring attachment on the “newer” radio and the plate with the threaded holes on the “old” radio are both removable. Obviously I can’t see great from the video, but I think you can swap them.

I had a problem with and an 80s ford installing a new cd player, come to find out that ford used 4 positives and a single ground to the speakers. Once I figured that out and ran individual wires to the speakers I was golden.

Ford moved the upfitter block to the pass side on the 24... wonder if they knew we'd all be doing this!

Hey Colt. I used to repair those things before we started throwing them away. Those magnetic heads get dirty and oxidized. A little isopropyl alcohol and a gun cleaning patch will work wonders on the tape head. Hope this helps bud.

Radios are definitely allowed to be upgraded in an otherwise-stock and clean vehicle. I love my old tapes but the convenience of MP3, bluetooth, even just my CD binder is hard to ignore. Either way, love these IDIZ update vids! 🍻

I just bought a 2017 f150 xlt I was allowed to update for free off the Ford site to get me to version 3.0 But then it wanted me to PAY like 200 bucks to update the maps And then it would allow me to get version 3.2 I was spooked as hell to try this!!! But it worked FLAWLESSLY!!!! My build was 23219 My nav legit was so slow I couldn't use it It would take 30 sec to change a channel Or switch from radio to Sirius XM.. It was soooooo bad Most features were basically useless.. Connecting a phone was out of the question it was so slow This fixed EVERYTHING I can't thank you enough!!!❤❤❤
