I had the same issue just this week. I went to start a motorbike that has been sitting for a couple of years. I replaced the rear axle and rebuilt the brakes, went to start it and it would not fire. I ran the batter down twice, and then decided to let be for a couple of hours, thinking I probably flooded it. When I came back to much later it fired right up and I was down the road. I enjoy your family and friends and the light hearted shenanigans, it’s always fun and entertaining plus some of us get to learning through your experiences and knowledge.

Flooding on setting fuel press seems to be a common issue, but I can see how it is missed when checking all the boxes on one of these computerized monsters. It's just not something one would think about. It's nice to have a project that you can take a break from to clear the brain. A great problem solving and nerve settling move that many could learn. BTW, that dash is pretty sick. It's a good look.

Getting (wrench throwing) mad never solved a problem for me, sometimes it created more! Some times you have to step back, acknowledge that you are missing something ... likely something obvious ... and that you are just not seeing what it is. An old Cat pony motor taught me that. It had spark, fuel, compression, but would only power on one cylinder. Turns out the rotation of the mag rotor reversed inside of the magneto. If the magneto is installed 180 degrees out and the plug wires are switched, it will run, but only on #1 cylinder. It was a problem that had haunted them for at least 5 years before I started trying to figure out what was wrong. The second lesson I learned was just because you find something a certain way, that doesn't mean it is supposed to be that way. Something to keep in mind when following someone else's work (just don't be hyper-critical over what you find. Bruising the previous mechanic's ego won't win you any favors!).

Another great content filled video Bish. Here is an original idea. Run all the wiring on the underside of the hood, loomed and ran with precise (like a computer board) directional and color coded design and just have all the connectors at the cowl.
