personally I think that this song is about learning to save yourself instead of waiting for another person to save you, my main points are, the big black moth eye guy (whose name is Kumo from the character sheets) probably represents the main character's (Akame is his name) depression or negative thoughts (and also since its his shadow [assuming you've read the manga]) (the other character with the yellow/orange eyes is named Zukin and seems to represent Akame's hope or will to resist his depression [Zukin seems to also be his zingai [the monsters seen in eve's music video which also include heart forms and shadows] its complicated lol) the chorus's main lines are "waiting on a lonely star, the boy realized that he wanted to be loved" is talking about Akame waiting for a hand to come from out of the darkness to save him from his dark thoughts, and perhaps being another lonely star they'll save eachother, the whole music video we see Kumo reaching for Akame's heart which represents his dark thoughts reaching for him, obviously he's kept at bay by Zukin and the pills seen throughout the video (I don't think the pills are drugs, just rather anti-depressants or something), right before the chorus when Kumo gets close to him (both times) it mentions Day becoming faint which is representative of hope being lost, but later after Zukin pulls Akame out of the washing machine and gets Akame to snap out of giving into Kumo the lyrics say "night is becoming faint" which represents the opposite of what it said earlier, it means that he is gaining hope again, then there is some really cool eye representation after that, it shows Zukin's pair of eye's, then soon after it shows Akame's pair of eyes which are similar to Zukin's and then it show's Kumo's eyes which are all monstrous and doesnt look like a person's eyes, then after that Akame grabs Zukin's hand and open's the blinds, since Zukin is his zingai its ultimately him that saved himself, he stopped waiting on a lonely star and saved himself from his depression, after that it repeats the first line "I've lived another day again how many years does this make" but then adds onto it saying "just, it seems I'm in a good mood somehow" and then it show's his previously white right eye to now being yellow while the left one remains red, he's more or less the same from the start of the music video and still has the same problems, but now he's taken the first step and this is the start of him overcoming his dark thoughts (I mention dark thoughts so much because there is so much refference to suicide in the lyrics and stuff) (if you want me to go more in depth you can just ask me in the replies to this lol) personally I really like this because I like songs where people overcome things as hard as depression and such, also because it reminds me of Tokyo Ghetto but if it had a good ending where The Boy didn't both metaphorically and literally die. thanks for reading my theory!

This isn't off the mark, but I'll try to find another theory that applied logic behind the scenery of this song. They knew things about the fans and the enclosed space the character finds themself in. When the water clears and the window is open is when the character has a moment to "breathe" and not suffer from immense anxiety and extreme pressure in the room. Your theory does summarize what the song seems to give off as a generalized message.

hey is it okay if i ask you somethings because i am very new in eve's fandom so i dont know much but i am curious about alot of things..? what's zingai i keep reading this in theories..? and does this characters belong from any manga or created for this MV/universe only? and does all eve's videos have different universe like in 'living idly and dying as if dreaming' song, or 'dramaturgy' or what..? also are his songs tied together like sequels/prequels, or stories tied together songs after songs..? i started from dramaturgy so thats why i dont know or noticed the sequence i think..! if its not too much bother can you please tell me... i am new to listening eve but the imagination and lyrics and everything there is, makes me really curious and encourages me to find more but i dont know any irl people to ask this about..?

@@diti9432 sure I'd be happy to answer! Zingai are all the weird creatures that keep appearing in Eve's MVs and is basically a misspelling of the Japanese word for "inhuman", but yeah thats what Eve calls all these creatures (theres also another version of Zingai called Shadows which is basically a zingai that manifests from your emotions), the characters used in this Music video aren't from any manga but Eve has created a Manga which features some of his characters from the MVs (its called Kara no Kioku), there is a bit of a debate on weather every single one of his MV's are tied to the same universe since its not really all that clear other than some character references but personally I think that they're all connected to the same universe even if some of them don't really have that much to add to the lore, if you have any more questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer!
