Glad to find someone that appreciates how great Eve's music is. I'm sure he'll only continue to grow in the future, it's amazing how he consistently releases such amazing music. Also, I'm pretty sure Eve is just by himself and not a band of people. He's an Utaite, which is a japanese term for singers who start off by covering other people's music and then eventually start composing their own music once they get popular enough from their covers. He obviously works with other people for the music videos though.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that! I guess I just always kind of assumed Eve was a band.

Your point about how all other music feels derivative and depends on you careing for the face of the artist more than the music itself is a perfect explanation for why I stopped listening to those song and if anybody saw my playlist they'll say I'm a "weeb" But it's just that (in my opinion) it's better music

I think it's a weird quality not just in music but in lots of things. Movies, music, whatever, the personal narrative of the artist is really important in America but I don't know I just don't pay too much attention to it. I'm more focused on the artwork itself

You have very good criticism, and I'm glad you enjoy this MV too, the lyrics and imagery mean a lot to me and this MV is gorgeous. Clearly you make a genuine review while having fun, I appreciate it greatly. I hope you make more reviews of J rock, EVE in particular

I'm glad you liked Eve's song, his songs are just amazing just like the animation in every of his music videos, eve's songs usually talk about everyday life problems that you can identify, like in the melancholy part of society, that's why you can feel it in the beat just like in the lyrics of his songs. I really recommend you to react to all his songs xD Somes i recommend are Tokyo Ghetto(my favorite), Inochi no Tabekata, Dramaturgy

Yes! Eve fans rise up, it’s about time. I wish more people would react to him because I’m certain more people would vibe with him if they knew who he was

It's funny that when you don't know EVE and hear this song with its funky rhythm, you can't imagine that it's about depression. But if know his music, you can actually hear the hints in the melody. It has quite a lot of imagery and references that are difficult to understand if you're not japanese but it's also very subtle, and subtlety is something that's lacking in nowadays pop music.
