I have a metal roof on a low pitch in Central Florida. Metal roofs shed water faster than shingles do and at times an inch or two rain can fall in an hour. Once I got 7 inches of rain in an hour. So I stalled 7 inch gutters with gutter guard like this , Bull Dog gutter guards. Just for the infrequent heavy rain events that happen in my part of the world. So far no problems, I shall see as summer comes and heavy rains if this remains true.

Does the gutter guard handle the rain better than the gutter alone? If so, is it because the rain spreads over a larger area than if just dropping into the gutter?

I just installed Bulldog guards. Got a heavy rain and it was bouncing off. Disappointed.

Leaf relief by plygem is awesome product. I install them on all my gutter jobs. There isn’t a gutter guard out there that is absolute perfect, they all still require some maintenance, but all my customers seem very happy with leaf relief. Also very easy to install. I won’t install anything but leaf relief. I would highly recommend it.

Not saying gutter guards are good or bad, just saying don't get Leaf Filter! They will lie and make promises about their guards that are not true!! Also, the are big time scammers on the pricing. Unfortunately, I know.

Haha ya but wanna know what it can’t handle pine needles it will go right through the holes and clog the gutters right up I’ve seen in so many times

Not necessarily true. Keeping in mind gutter guards are not magical. Gutter guards are not there to never have to clean the gutters even though that’s the case with some of my customers. Gutter guards purpose is to increase the flow rate and make the gutters manageable. I personally have hundreds of customers with the recommended gutter guard installed with pine needles and they would have it no other way. If you have the right view on gutter guards it’s easy to see why👍

@@Everythinggutter the majority of people who get gutter guards get it with the intention of not having to clean the gutters again tbh and don’t realize that there is still maintenance required I’ve seen it hundreds of times

My opinion stay away from gutter guards .Gutter guards are high maintenance . Everything Gutter Co. is not providing you with all the information . Just get you gutters inspected and cleaned ever year . Viewers do your own research . Don't buy any gutter guards its a waste of money.

This is the only gutter guard thats descent. And clean gutters once a year lmao yeah if you're in the city. In the woods where I live gotta do it 5 or 6 times In fall and again in spring
