They should provide markets separately for hawkers, day hawkers and night hawkers. This will clean up the streets. In that way if a hawker is found selling on the street he/she will be reprimanded and fined. These fines can generate funds for the upkeep of the streets and the city as well.

They should build 3 storey open market malls with good demarcation stores it can contain all of them... You find this type of malls all over south America and it's beautiful every thing is there

Definitely also if more factory are build it will decongest, modernized agricultural sector in most part of the country will help. Enforce the law and education is important. Martial law in Europe e.g.. Japan and recently China implement did help them, Ghana can do it

I think the government should try and provide whatever that draws people to Accra in other regions of the country being excellent hospitals, Companies, quality roads, services and educational institutions. These are the ways to decongest cities. Let there be the same opportunities elsewhere. Ghanaian leaders think Ghana is only Accra so they just focus there and neglect other areas

@@AfromemeGod. that is sad but Ghana govt can train people their job is together with enforcement agencies enforce the law another form of creating jobs. Arrest charge fine or put to work somewhere. Is another way to change bad behaviour. 🙏

Henry is doing a job. However there has to be enough signage along the streets to prevent hawkers from plying their trades there: signs like "no hawking, no loitering, no parking...etc distances apart so anyone who flouts the law would have flagrantly done so and deserving to be punished. #HENRY4PREZ!

Institutions in Ghana always ask for fund. They don't ask for law & its enforcement. They ask for so that they can corrupt. Who will fix the country for you, corrupt & lawless citizens ? Forget about fix the country & let's change our attitudes.

To be honest these trading restricting policies will cost a lot of traders their jobs. I agree that the footpaths should not be traded on but I also think a supportive initiative like factories should have been open in nearby locations to offer jobs to those who will unfortunately loose their businesses. I realise that the government cannot do everything but this is where private sector opportunities come into the picture. Some people were trading on the pavements because there was not enough spaces in the market areas.

These traders are working and creating their own jobs. What they need to do is to trade in lawful places. Is that so hard to follow? Many are trading and selling within their lawfully allocated places so why can't others follow??? Are they animals to be caned before they use their brains? Don't make excuses for theses folks who make it difficult for Ghana to move forward.
