I feel for you brother, I bought a 37 chevy sedan barn find, the drivers window had been knocked out, the interior had been eaten by what looked like a couple of generations of raccoons that had moved into it. The floor was covered 6" deep in the bones and carcasses of whatever the coons were eating. Took me two days and 6 cans of rustoleum spray paint to get the stink out.

I see you bought that old Walters Snow fighter. Spent some time in one of those, running wing. They were a no frills truck that would push a lot of snow. Four point positive drive running gear. If you look rite in the middle just under the dash, there is a large thumb screw. If you turn it, it will raise the back of the hood. This was how you kept the windshield clear using the engine heat from under the hood.

Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing. What I would do when you have more time is organize vehicles in certain quadrants by the decade they were made and it will help you keep better track of inventory. It will also give you areas to put stuff that you don't want to crush that fit the decade.

Looking at the property; removal of most of the trees in the yard, clear a road to bring the haul-out truck&trailer farther back in the yard where the crushed cars are. It would save loading time and fuel/time on the equipment. Just some thoughts….

I might be mistaken, but if the engine is 1956. Wouldn't it be a 265? I thought the 283 did not come out until 1957.

No, the issue is that that trailer is extremely tall. If the tires are on the vehicle I’m loading I have to bounce it over the side. That frame was too butt heavy and flipped off the forks when I bounced it 😆

The Ford is a 54 or 55 with the Y block. 53 was the last year for the flathead and the 56 (same year as me) has the vertical A pillars. Interesting collection in the red Ford. I’m not much for masks either but the hantavirus vibe is strong with that mess. Excellent video always, cool to see your boys out there

Loved the drone shots of the loads leaving. Shows how the bundles look after loading. We know of a guy that hauls scrap vehicles. His are on flatbed trailers and of course they are netted. He has more work than he can do and is having a time finding a driver for his other truck. If folks just considered they would realize how many salvages there are. Always like seeing those kids, they're making memories at work with you. I'm going to wag a grandma's finger at you- the next time you have to clean up a mess like that red Ford please, please wear a mask. There is so much you can get from messes like that. We don't want you sick or worse. Keep some handy so you'll remember them. I'm serious when I say stay safe and GOD bless ❤

Been a fan and long time viewer...just never commented before. Have to say, I love the channel and variety you have. I also need to make a comment....I've watched a LOT of other channels that are about crushing cars and such....you can really drive your loader! Everyone else rams into the cars while they are in the crusher and just pierces the doors. You have enough control to just push against the cars to keep them from buckling out. Others all have to keep readjusting because they just go through the doors with the loader forks. Anyway...keep up the great channel. Wish you were closer! I'd stop by and get some scrap electric motors and some other stuff. I forge ingots and items from brass, copper, and aluminum and would it would be great to have a scrap yard that would work with you. Here in NY where I am....not so much.

The engineers knew exactly what their objective was: to make the new 911 GT2 RS the most powerful Porsche for the road. Objective achieved. The water-cooled six-cylinder bi-turbo Boxer engine with four-valve technology, variable turbine geometry (VTG) and VarioCam Plus delivers its power through the rear axle. From a displacement of 3,600 cm3, it generates an enormous 456 kW (620 hp) at an engine speed of 6,500 rpm. The maximum torque of 700 Nm is available from 2,250 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 3.5 seconds. To 200 km/h (124 mph) only 9.8 seconds, and to 300 km/h (186 mph) just 28.9 seconds. Maximum boost pressure is not reached until a speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The weight-to-power ratio that is essential for this kind of performance is just 2.21 kg/hp. A consistent supply of oil to the engine - even at high cornering speeds - is achieved using a dry sump lubrication system with a separate engine oil reservoir. The oil is cooled by an oil-water heat exchanger.

To really tell the difference between them, you need to run the numbers on them. The distributor on them is different. The 283 has the little door to adjust the points, and the 265 doesn't. Unless someone has changed it out for the other one. I had a 57, and my brother had a 56, and looking at them, that was the only difference. Dan 🇺🇸
