Amazing place.. Those have been dumped there from the late 70`s right up to the early 2000`s.. Crazy. TFG615K is a Fiat 125 Special (with the Lampredi twin cam engine) at 18:21 . The fact its not on the DVLA any more probably means it was dumped in there before the DVLA was computerised, circa 1980/81, same with the Morris Minor GKS584. The caged Mk1 Cortina was a stock car rather than a banger racer, going by its roll cage & box section bumpers, the 220 on the door was the drivers number, he probably dumped it there thinking no one would ever see it again! (or maybe it was nicked off of him, stripped of its engine etc, then dumped here). Before the mid 90`s, scrap was worthless, you had to pay scrappies to take them away, so a lot of people used to dump them instead. I reckon a lot of the pre-80`s cars there were dumped by owners, & the 80`s on stuff was stolen then dumped. I`m amazed they are so well preserved though. In theory a lot of the oils etc are still in them, so could be extracted without polluting the water any further, there's probably a good few grands worth of parts there, on top of the scrap value, although a lot of it could turn to dust when exposed to the air... Anyway, cheers for putting the vid up, & be safe! 👍

Bloodyhell there’s some classics down there. I’ve always been a massive car guy, I’m in my late 30s now but growing up in the 90s you couldn’t go down a country lane in the back seat of the parents motor without seing a burnt out car and even my dads Granada got stole around 89 and set on fire and pushed in a canal that got stuck on the edge and I remember that day we went to the recovery yard to look at it half burnt, half not so I guess that’s where my fascination comes from of the unknowing thought of how? when? & why? they end up where they do. Loving this content. I’d love for you to dive the car cave in Wales as I’ve seen videos of the massive stack above the water but it goes further under water with cars and it looks deceptively deep and it’s already dangerous to access where the water level is.

The full face equipment used looks interesting a bit more upmarket than my Twin hose Royal Minstrel, I still own all my old equipment, including and new Gate pro dive suit used twice and a Northern divers 6.5 mm used a few times as I hated it, coming from an ancient Avon navy suit neck entrance to the 6.5 mm neoprene it felt like being strapped into a heavy rubber band.
