Much respect to the brotha for telling his story but he is not a NBA legend. That word along with genius is overused.

Steve Francis was dope. He was one of my faves of that era. Because he had Yao and Mobley, he didn't put up the eye catching numbers that other guards did. Francis to me is better than any guard in this era not named Curry or Chris Paul.
@Paul.Burrell3 жыл бұрын
@@truthis612 He is a legend, he just didn't put up legendary numbers. But his skillset is legendary. He's still talked about because of that reason. If he had been on a bad team he would've been way more popular, because he would've had the ultimate green light and gotten crazy stats.

Steve - I hope you’re doing well wherever you are. Just want to let you know that growing up in Houston in 2000s and watching you carry Rockets was one of the best and fondest memories that I will carry with me forever. You inspired a generation of us to get on the court and hoop, make friends, talk about Rockets and so much more. Truly sorry to hear about your Demons and I hope you’re living a positive life. I hear you loud & clear Steve Francis --- I hear you my Brother.. What a blessing to know you're moving in the right direction with your life! One day at a time.. Indeed, Both fame & fortune are highly over-rated; but most people don't understand or recognise the pitfalls because NEARLY EVERYTHING to them IS VISUAL.. Big house, fancy cars, designer clothes, super expensive jewelry, corporate endorsements, T.V. appearances, magazine covers, etc.. All visual things.. No regard whatsoever for what's possibly lurking INSIDE the mind & body.. Folks rarely take the time to think (or consider) how someone actually FEELS from day to day when dealing with huge professional & personal responsibilities.. Wishing you peace, good health, and spiritual prosperity as you continue your journey through life Mr. Francis.. Thank you for sharing your story.. Very enlightening and very, very inspiring..

Francis is Deff one of the PG's that I've always been a huge fan of and I always wanted to model my game after him and Baron Davis. Not that we are suppose to know but we don't know what people go through outside of there profession and he clearly had a lot going on in his NBA career that his career didn't continue which I hate because I know he should be a way better position now. I'm not excusing him for whatever bad choices he made but we do need to take in that if people randomly do something bad there is possibly a reason behind it
