We had some customers come in needing their vehicle retrieved from the middle of Hamburger Hill on Kane Creek Trail. They said they had got hung up on the big ledge and couldn't get out. We loaded up and headed in. On e we reached the vehicle we realized it was a rental car. That's when we started talking with them about how they had got there. They had followed a book rating the trail as 'easy'. Which up until the last 3-4 years it was, but due to flooding and erosion the trail has become increasingly difficult the last few years. Always remember to check updated trail conditions and if possible, never travel alone. We got them out and back on pavement as quickly and safely as we could. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

@@Coolhansolo I rode the Black Bear Pass trail on an XT600 years ago. It does have some decent ledges. I went down to the town, and then turned around to go back up. There was a stock Jeep Grand Wagoneer (1970s) just starting to go toward the town. He was at the first ledge that was only about 18" tall. He asked me if it got worse, and I informed him that it indeed did get worse, much worse, and even if he was going down hill, it would surly screw up the underside of his rig. He turned around. It was a good thing.

@@Rat-Builder My first 4x4 was a 69 wagoneer with a 350 and 373 gears and a ramsey PTO winch and that thing was a great rig , I now have a side by side and a 78 blazer and live in the PNW , I love watching these guys 4X4 , and they are Pros , and to watch them tow with a Tow Truck or towing them out with a strap on stuff that I would be happy to go over in a rig alone makes these videos special and so entertaining

@@fieldinglover I agree with you. My first 4x4 was a 1965 Jeep pickup that I bought out of a wrecking yard. I have never seen such a thoroughly worn out vehicle. LOL I worked on that rig for a year before I could drive it. You know how low to the ground your wagoneer was, well there were 3 and 4 foot ledges in front of that old Jeep further down that trail. A lifted rig should not have a problem, but keep in mind that this was 35 years ago. LOL I just bought a new 2022 Polaris quad, and I am sooooo looking forward to hitting the trails this summer. The trails are under several feet of snow right now. I live in southeastern Idaho, and we have some awesome under 50 inch trails around here. There are lots of off-road trails for your rigs around here too. Thanks for the comment.

With the amount of rain that they have had this year, the book would need to be updated daily. The driver needs to look at the trail and make a decision based on that, even if it means to take a little hike.
