Hey ! That’s my savefile. 😊 Starting lord is Sigvald on this campaign. Thx for help in that rough fight legend, I was surprised you sent me back the savefile so quickly next afternoon. You did perfect job there ! 👌 Seeing you managed to win it without lose any shaggots, wich seemed nearly impossible for me, I retried after a last time to see if I could equal your perf. I won it with 4 shaggots dead, best result for me overall on 3tries... Sooo, I was glad to use Legend’s perf instead of mine and continue my campaign from there ! 😂 On turn 307 actually, my 8th shaggots army is ready now, and I plan to enter Ulthuan for annihilation of HE with 6 shaggots spams (of 8 globally) around turn 315 roughly... That campaign smells good, I hope I can make 12 shaggots spams max, and spread on all continents around turn 450-500(?), we’ll see... @Legend Thx again for help mate 👋

@@itarH nah, not really, it’s in VH/VH setting. Although its theoretically doable to make infinite generic lords, it’s not a good plan bcoz the 400incomes/turn u get does not rebalance the +15% upkeep penalty for each armies you already have (and that’s only after tens turns for each new isolated generic lord, just to get growth and build townhall t5 + both upgrades of cav buildings, wich takes time... and during that time the lord himself has an upkeep cost/turn, etc. just to make profit to recuperate these pre-steps before starting to make 400/turn, it’s already tens turns for each ones). And I am not even sure 400gold would be enough to pay the upkeep penalty on that generic lord himself... But anyway, the real problem is the +15% upkeep cost for all real armies you already have, and at each new generic lord created... One of my 8 shaggots stacks cost roughly 3200-3500gold per turn each (after I built all buildings diminishing upkeep for shaggots and other’s upkeep reduction buildings, ~3250gold is the best upkeep cost I can have for a shaggots army... wich is also quite long, just to get enough growth for each ones of these buildings, it takes also +50turns for each of shaggots stacks). And for each new generic lord, I would have +15% (of 3200gold) upkeep added to the total. Multiplying by 8 stacks, it’s roughly 4200gold upkeep more just for one new generic lord, wich will make (30turns after recruitment or more) 400gold only himself... it’s not even 1/10 of the upkeep penalty I will pay for all my armies just to get one dude making 400gold/turn... imagine making 10 dudes or more ! 😱 Definitely not worthy. Lol Maybe it can work in normal or easy where the upkeep penalty/army is only 2%...? But even there, 400gold is negligible overall, too much efforts and too much time for each of these to reach the t5 cav buildings and starting to make 400/turn. Even in easy mode, I don’t think it’s worthy tbh... The single viable way is looting settlements and armies you defeated, with all your armies, most often as possible (and without putting any of your shaggots stacks in a tricky situation where he could be destroyed), its the only way... And even like that, for 8 shaggots hordes fully upgraded, I am still around minus 25k/turn of deficit, wich forces me to make lots of battles or razing settlements to maintain a decent reserve of gold. But it’s the only way to maintain so many shaggots armies, there is no other solution or tricks, unfortunately.

@@Kilen_BE There actually is a cheese that helps. You can get infinite favour from norscan factions that you vasalize. Just break it and reoffer it with the max. amount of payment.

@@Kilen_BE Yo, I know this is literally years after you made this comment(the one in the reply section about the upkeep of each shag spam), but I have no idea what you are talking about here. Chaos doesn't have supply lines, and I've managed to get around 90k worth of razing settlements from fully built province capitals, with about 20k in between each of them for every minor settlement and about 10k from every postbattle loot, which since shaggoth spam is about 3k once all of the upkeeps are made(78% generic from horde buildings) makes it super easy to afford a bunch of shag spams. For me, the main wait is just from growing a horde to that point(abt 15 turns? I've not counted it so far), and I have abt 300k in reserve on a 6k decrease every turn(on legendary, so added 10% upkeep penalty as well).

I've always said that factions shouldn't be able to recolonize a razed settlement for at least 50 turns. It would make razing settlements an actual viable option not just for chaos but for everyone else as well. Say for example you wanted to create a buffer zone around your territory with area that isn't worth it at the time for you to colonize it. Just raze it then.

@@matthewcarson3736 True, but the chaos shrines that come after you raze a settlement should have some kind of function, like how can you resettle a location in which a hoard of reality destroying warriors of pure carnage and chaos just eradicated off the entirety of the map, setting giant portals to the endless vast planes of horrors unimaginable in it's place.

man i hope they get chaos in wh3 right. i like the faction itself but cant stand the cat and mouse gameplay with the AI. hopefully they can actually occuupy settlements in the next game or make them unhabitable atleast

I do not understand why would you need to "destroy the entire world" playing chaos. I just tipped the scales in the favor or skaven, orcs, undead and dark elves against ordertide and finished long campaign without much problems.

In game yes, from a lore perspective, chaos gets all the credit for the emotions, ruination, fights and so on by ruining the world. Plus they can immediatly claim it as their new playground.

Turn 298?! Jeez! It's not on legendary is it? Just completing my Chaos campaign on legendary with 3 armies (Archaeon, Kholek and Sigvald) and wrecking everything. Didn't invest in any magic with Archaeon though so Legend's comments were interesting. Nor have I invested any mage points into any dragons/wyverns. I do have Archaeon with the sword of Khaine though... I am 170-odd turns in and Bretonnia are gone, Empire is almost gone and the Dwarves are also on their way out. :) Pretty successful I would say!

I did on purpose (it’s my savefile btw). The reason is Sigvald is interesting in very early game due to marauders bonuses. Wich helps financially, wich made me unlock and start levelling up Kholek a bit faster than starting with him (or at least, not necessarily much more fast, but already having 2 armies there instead of just Kholek if I had started with) Last time I played with Chaos I started with Kholek, but following a tip Legend said about that on one of streams couple of months ago, and the interest to get Sigvald as starting lord to grow faster in very early game through the 2nd army, I chose to start with Sigvald instead... wich worked great. But sure, Sigvald is the less powerful of all 3 chaos LLs, no doubt about that. The interest was only to afford more marauders units in very early game by playing with Sigvald, that’s it 🙂

Sigvald is a good choice for a starting lord if you don't want to spend a lot of time in Norsca at the beginning of the campaign, for one reason or another. Other lords can be unlocked wherever you want: Archaeon by sacrificing captives, Kholec by building dragon ogres. But Sigvald is unlocked by awakening Norsca tribes, which can be only done in Norsca. By starting as Sigvald you skip this step.

No. That’s my savefile, this battle happens during a second campaign of ravaging troll country. I got there with 2 shaggots stacks around turn 250-260, pushed through Altdorf with one stack, and Kislev with the other. then been forced to retreat bcoz reikland & dwarfs started to chase me. I retreated in norsca to regroup safely my 2 stack and then cameback, this battle happens when I cameback in turn 297, just after defeated a 4 full stacks of reikland. Btw, I left norsca very early in the campaign and mostly played in nagaroth and Ulthuan. It’s only around turn 250 that I returned in norsca with my 5th & 6th shaggots stacks, but been forced to retreat after have rase Altdorf, etc. Actually, I am at turn 307, my 8th shaggots stack is completed, I still have these 2 stacks in troll country, 4 around Quintex-Hexoatl area (wich pushed back HE from there, but Bretonia still have couple armies around to deal with), And 2 last shaggots stacks enter Ulthuan for a 2nd campaign inside there from the north. First campaign inside Ulthuan was around turn 180 if I remember well (with 3 stacks at that time), so you see, your presumptions are far of what truly happened irl. I left Troll country/norsca very early in campaign (turn 50 or so) to diminish the pressure from the order tide in mid game, waiting to have more stacks overall to go back there, and it worked great. So don’t judge on appearances my dude, at turn 297, lot of things can have happened and really being different of what you anticipate based on a quick look on the map... 😉

Na, he started with Archeon, because his faction started with the effects of "The Everchosen" and you only get that faction effect if you start with Archeon. Also, Archeons pic showed up in the LL slot, not Sigvald. It also literally says Faction Leader- Archeon at the bottom

hey, guys, i`m asking your help. its really sad that WoC as faction in TW:WH2 is really weak in comparison and need an update, but it won`t be shown in several months. but i have a little experience of modding gamefiles, so can modify unit stats, character perk effects, some magic etc. i`m looking for an advice how can i modify WoC, and mb Beastmen for myself(because i`m not plannning to share my modification to others...for a while at least) so they can survive an early game and become a real threat to other factions (mb even like in End of Times) p.s. sorry for my english - its not my native lang)
