About the muscle fibers thing, it clicked in my head that in high school I had a friend who also came from Vietnam and this reminded me of him. In PE class the teacher would test our grip strength at the beginning of the year and without ever training he had the strongest grip out of the whole school.. as a freshman. Maybe a pure coincidence as far as both of your origins, but I do remember the teacher saying his type of muscle fibers was just on a whole other level than everybody else, which explained why he was stronger than the football players who trained every other day.

Never give up man. Sometimes other people programs just won't work according to your own genetics and needs to grow. Keep on trying while also experimenting with maybe some heavier reps. On a bench day I do 135 half reps x25 for warm up, then 185x10 slow full reps, then 225x5 for slow reps as well. Then I finish it off with 250x4, then proceed to deload and drop back down and go in reverse. All pounds not kg, I don't know kg lol. Just to give an idea. Just never give up my man, keep on going and you'll achieve your goal. I'm currently 157lb body weight, benching right on the edge of 280lbs going for 315, not gonna stop till I get it. Kinda scared of a pec tear though lol.
