I am as excited and as intrigued as you are! Armenia did again! This is pure beauty and fun! And perfectly substancial without being pretentious or preachy! It's classic and original. Feels authentic for Armenia but also interhuman and intercultural! It's already in my top10 of this strong year and it's definitely climbing! I love the progressive lyrics on the folk music, her cool bad-ass vibe in the traditional outfit. She's rebelious without bitterness and aggression! Her fightiing spirit is happy, friendly, solid and loving. What an icon! This is so proper feminism, it's so genuinely woke without trying too hard. I want to dance with her. Let's embrace our heritage and happily and freely carry it all to the future! This is all Eurovision should be about! I 'm really amazed, Armenia!!! Perfect choice! The girl singing is Jaklin Baghdasaryan. Jako (the name of the song) stands short for Jaklin. The group is quite famous in Armenia, it is a French-Armenian musical group and their songs are very popular in the country. About the song Yes, whatever is shown in the video represents the culture of Armenia and it's how the country is lol (cuz some were asking if it is staged for the music video). The lyrics is not translated but I'll provide a literal translation You'll like this! ↓ They tell me "Jako, behave yourself" "Don't talk too much", "don't sit silent for too long" "Wear this, open it, close it, behave like a girl" I'm a free girl, I'll dance and you'll watch! So the song is basically a load of 'lalalalalala' to a happy orchestral instrumentation, and everyone is getting their panties wet? Just because it's not the typical pop song formula? Lazy comes to mind. Yes I checked a translation to the Armenian lyrics, and it's maybe 8 verses talking about being yourself (how deep and unique) and the rest is lalalalala. How far we've fallen since Rosa Linn and Brunette. Yes might make it through with the televote, because there's an audience for happy garbage. Will get trashed by the juries.
