I don’t know if the caller will ever see this but pro-tip for anyone who does- we’ve all had to coexist with people whose breath is not great. I’ve actually done multiple interventions, the first of which was with my late father. It was this very specific unchanging smell and i coaxed him him to get it checked out. It turned out that it was indicative of underlying internal medical conditions that were undiagnosed until he did. So when I’ve noticed chronic bad breath in someone I have to to be around a lot, I’ve said something like “hey I really don’t want to make you feel scared or anything but I’ve noticed you have a particular scent in your breath - not bad or anything - but I’m super sensitive to it because of my experience with my dad (then go on to tell the story).. it might be worth it to check it out with your dentist or doctor. I care about you and I didn’t feel right not saying anything”. It’s actually worked.

I listen while I’m in the shower so to make my phone speaker louder I place it in the shampoo niche. It's alcohol probably. As I learned, more so after I went to treatment, you stink once you get to a point where you're body is just sweating out alcohol daily. I really realized that once I relapsed and went on a 3 or 4 day bender, and I fn stunk once I sobered up. The fact that she doesn't know if it's just BO, it's probably not BO
