I have a grizzly 700 and my neutral switch is going out how do I do the over ride mod
@looseballs196610 жыл бұрын
Did you figure out your switch, if not you can either just ground the wire that goes to it, or put an on/off switch inline on that wire to ground, or depending on the year of the grizzly just get a new switch (newer Grizz's have an upgraded one) ( I had 2 2007's bypassed 1 and bypassed with switch and replaced the factory switch with a new 1 which has been redesigned by the factory and has not been a problem since) I sold the 1 Grizz, but the 1 I kept, I replaced the factory switch, and also did the bypass with a toggle switch trick (with it you can bypass the reverse limiter for full power reverse when needed) works really nice and no issues since.
@johnhosea67410 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I have done the bypass and it fixed every thing.

@JohnAdams-tw1xi10 жыл бұрын
Best to just sell it and get a real quad like a can-am or Polaris :)
@looseballs196610 жыл бұрын
John Adams Sure then instead of a 25$ fix ( the cost of a new switch), and 10 minutes to install it or do the wire jump trick, you can spend a hundred $ or so replacing drive belts every few thousand miles, or just run the factory 1 with damn near 20,000 miles on it ( and still within factory wear limits and looking just fine yet) like mine, look it up Yamaha has the best belt drive system in the industry, as far as durability and belt life, and by far beat just about all the other's as far as going the long term lasting (overall) thing, except for maybe Honda, that's not to say I don't think Can Am is a good machine, they are, the Rotax engine is awsome, but the bigger Can Am's are just too heavy(ok for some things, bad for other's but mostly a negative) (weighing as much as 200lbs more than the Grizzly), I don't like the extremely proprietary wheel design, that are pricey as hell and not near as many wheel choices available, not to mention a bunch of stuff just costs more when working on the Can Am's, and as far as Polaris goes, lets just say they would be my last choice if there was nothing else left on the planet, (and I'm being very nice and restrained about that). I did not arrive at these oppinions overnite I'm 54 years old, and have been very into dirtbikes, 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, and the like, for all my life, and have owned litteraly dozens of different one's throughout the years, and by far the 2 best machine's I have ever owned personally or otherwise have been around, has been a 1994 suzuki 250 4wd quadrunner (king quad), and a 1986 Honda 350 fourtrax, both of which I owned since new, and can only guess at how many hard miles may be on them, (did finnaly junk the honda 3 years ago because my stepson dynamited the rear diff. and I couldn't bring myself to spend the nearly 1000$ for the new casses and gears and bearings it needed)(I had just told him to go easy on it untill we could check out as to why the diff had started making noise, but 16 year old kids just can't seem to listen). I've also been in some very large 4wheeler type clubs, and gone all over the country riding the things, and have seen how and what the various machines do, and don't do well.
