As a postal employee you all should know the cameras we hang are there for many reasons. You may want to keep that in mind as you go thru your daily jobs. We can dial into them anytime we desire to. It really is shocking that this isn’t basic training for every postal worker in the US by now. It really speaks to the inefficiency of the federal government. Also, it was a felony to bring guns into the federal post office. Then started asking for names and badge numbers.

You trolls are again confusing jurisdiction and authority. Any law enforcement officer has authority to intervene in a criminal activity even on federal property. Any officer can enact an arrest for a person’s criminal activity.(Misdemeanor or felony) A cop can certainly even arrest a federal officer if that office is committing a crime. To think otherwise is asinine. The only difference between federal, state, county and local authorities is jurisdiction. Once an arrest has been made on federal property, the criminal and evidence would be turned over to the office having jurisdiction. The clerk that stopped serving the public because citizens were exercising their rights should be fired immediately. For lying about the customers being harrassed and attempting to cause a confrontation.

So it is a limited public forum, Federally owned, they have their poster 7, there was a DHS memo (2x) on filming, there was an update by the Postmaster General in august 2022 specifically about auditors and STILL the employees do not know their own rules.

You all need to go back first thing in the morning and see if they will shut down again. Eventually the post office may do the right thing and relieve the manager of his job that he obviously doesn't know how to do.

J-Press, you could, you should have played your jurisdiction card. Tell the cops: "Look, I can see you are between a rock and hard place. Let me show you how you can get out and still be the good guys. Come here and look at the bottom of Poster 7. You don't have jurisdiction here. They are supposed to contact the FPS. Tell these people, is not your job, you are the not right people, to tell them to leave.".

there may be some ENTITLEMENT going on with those people as well. otherwise, it would have already been fixed. those people probably couldn't cope working in the private sector. they probably also have criminal records which may be required.

Support postal workers in MacDonut to go home early: just by legally recording in their lobby! Or at least, until they get a new postmaster!! Who can read and respect their own Poster 7 AND the memo from 2010 and 2018!! This postmaster will NOT back down!! He totally supports his own and his workers' right to close up early!

Wow, that USPS employee WESLEY who called police is a LIAR. He must have told about TEN (10) outright LIES there on the 911 call. Now that is the REAL CRIME. Lock that USPS criminal up now! Really great job on audit, both of you knew the law and were experts at explaining it!

@@younggurlbeer8849Thank you. I wasn't sure & I didn't take the time to rewind to find out for sure. But we all know how uninformed cops are & how they just spew out a series of words that results in their favour, so that doesn't answer the question for me. If they had said something along the line of 'Yes, we do, we have a signed agreement order with D.H.S. by the Judge.', that would confirm with me that they indeed knew that they had jurisdiction. I'm obviously going to have to go back & watch the video to see how the cops answered that. And I don't mind, more views for J-Town is always a positive thing!

Been watching post office first amendment audits for over five years now and it just blows my mind that ALL of these public servants are still ignorant of the laws. Retraining should've happened years ago! Also, why do we never see cops address the false 911 call? Isn't that a crime?

Lana you did an excellent job with the police cams and being thorough Is there a way to discover what the end results of the supervisors decision to shut down the post office early when it was so busy. Did the postmaster and or person responsible for service to the public administered discipline for shutting down the post office because of a camera. Or perhaps a revisit to see if they do it again.

I cannot get the PO to respond. I have contacted everyone up the food chain and nobody is responding. A potential revisit may turnover what happened.🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
