Ngl, when I first started with Tekken, my mental was terrible and if I was down by 5% HP and my opponent wasn't even touched, I would just put the controller down lmao. However the more I play, the more matches I get when I'm in that same situation but a lot of the time I do end up winning. The best fights I've gotten have been from comeback matches (especially when it's a scrappy match)! I've always been baffled how pros are able to seem like they're one round away from losing everything and then come back... Until similar situations happened to me and the feeling is like no other! I think I just tell myself "well, I got nothing left to lose now" and then somehow lock into super try hard without thinking too hard. Chill and punish! Treat it as if it's any other round! If you lose, gg you tried your best... And when you WIN, gg you tried your best! Never give up!

Someone told me that when my health is low, I make a lot of mistakes which causes my loss. Decided to block out the health bar (changed the UI settings so that the health bars are offscreen but Heat bar shows) and played rank. Ended up finally passing Bushin and finally reached Tekken King. My lack of fear and ability to play aggressive is crazy, it just works for me somehow.

The main problem is that often guides show us how to play like pros or mimic higher level players instead of finding your own style. It's very common that one mistake took ~70% of my life before I got my turn back. So comeback happened a lot. I still remember T5 where the one with low health was cornered and "bullied". Here one launch on hard read plus a ride on the momentum is all it takes.

1.Many ch launcher are just gone or don't give a full combo (example, other than dvj every character in this vid had a ch launching 4) 2.Low parries immediately use your combo extender unlike the previous game 3. Combo damage is less because you have slightly more health by default and can recover health lost through juggles.

Sorry, but I disagree. In Tekken 8 life lead means nothing. You are always one hit away from dying. 95% or 5%. Game is filled with safe launchers, so neutral is played with launchers. Game is filled with high damage launchers, that crush lows-mids-highs, like Lili Matterhorn. Since game is designed that you get reward (combo damage), reward (wall carry), reward (oki) and reward (heat) and reward (heat smash) into reward (one final mix). From one touch you will have 6 to 1 ratio favoring pressing a button. Why block when you can just launch and kill your opponent? Instead of blocking low and getting like ws4 punish, just do orbital. 80% to the wall and endless pressure is the reward. Risk? Not really. Safe launcher, that can be sidestepped, but most likely won't. No real whiff recovery as well and very hard to knock you out of the air. Also, you cannot really react to these. So, in Tekken 8, comeback are impressive if they have several interactions. Qudans one is impressive, since he had 6 interactions and he won all of them. The Lili one is pointless. There was no interactions after Arslan got hit. Just straight combo and vortex, nothing really do be done. This game design is faulty in term of risk and reward, so yeah, life lead means nothing here.

@@PhiDX yes.. 1-3 frames is 16-48ms. That is not the difference between PS5 vs PC though. What I found is that PS5 has an input delay of 3.5 frames at 56ms, including the monitor used, which is an LCD ASUS ROG PG258, which is good at 3-4ms for GtG or gray to gray but 6ms for white to black, worse than a good OLED tv like an LG C1 which has GtG at a fraction of MS and white to black at 2ms. That is if you turn off every single post processing on both the TV and also the monitor, which as well will add a lot more if you have anything turned on. PC gets to 2ms if you play with vsync off and have the monitor with every single post processing option turned off. Also the PC must be very powerful to play Tekken 8 with no frame skips and frame time issues, which result in input delay. In those ideal conditions (which don't happen because Tekken 8 without vsync is a mess) the difference is that of 1 to 1.5 frames, aka 16-24ms. With vsync on (which I believe is the setting for tournaments) the difference is more dependent on the monitors as it goes down to a few ms, with PC being better by 4-5ms. Even using your 1-3 frames of delay (wherever you pulled those from, no idea where you got a whole 48ms or 3 frames of input lag from btw), we are not talking about 240hz or more, mouse gameplay on fps games, giving a tiny, minuscule advantage to the top 0.1% of the 0.1% during the 0.1% of fights. We are talking about playing at 60fps with controllers and fight sticks. It's not even about precision or timing because the game itself isn't that precise, no modern fighting game is like that. It's all about muscle memory even for the hardest stuff. 1-3 frames won't change anything. The game is very lenient on inputs. This is not Tekken 7 anymore. You are grasping at straws. The 1% fastest reaction times just to push a button is 150ms. CSGO pros average is 160 to 190ms. Tekken pros are slower than that because the very fastest are always younger than 19, at which point reaction time start to go downhill FAST. The PS5 vs PC is all an excuse. There's a much bigger difference between offline vs 5 bars online at more than 4 frames (at it's very best). Can you feel that? After all you are a pro. Can you say that you drop punishes and combos because you are playing online, both with a gigabit google connection in the same house at 8-16ping? Do you feel a difference between offline play and training mode while matchmaking? There is scientifically and objectively no way 24 years old + players can feel the difference between PS5 and PC with vsync. It's either placebo, confirmation bias or excuses. Why are pro players not complaining about the set ups used at tournaments then? Sometimes they used pretty mediocre monitors and they weren't set up properly so the input lag was AT LEAST 50ms more aka 3 frames (at least. Some monitors come in with more post processing adding up to 80ms or 5frames). Why is nobody complaining about vsync? That's an extra 2 frames. All that stuff, like grey to grey LCD being much slower than OLED, post processing effects, controller and fight sticks having extra input lag depending on what you use, vsync etc... And nobody says a word. Except when its PS5 vs PC. Yeah... nope, I don't buy it. Especially when PC is way less stable and has many many more problems with input delays, frame time issues, frame skipping etc...
