That’s a big reason why I think the kicking game is by far and away one of the most underrated aspects in football. We saw last year and a couple of games this year where the Packers kicking game costed them dearly by relying on shaky rookie kickers. As a Packers fan, I’m hoping Brandon McManus has gotten through his kicking slump and returns to the kicker that he was from 2015-21. Hopefully kicking a game-winning field goal against one of the best teams in the NFL will help get his confidence back. He’s only 33 years old, which for a kicker is not old, so he’s probably got at least 5-8 years left if he can get back into form. Actually, speaking of kicking game, one of the biggest factors in this win for Green Bay was the punting from Dan Whelan. The dude absolutely flipped the field by averaging 56.5 yards per punt on five punts.

@@istantinoplebullconsta642that was a good decision, he just missed. I’m far more concerned about bad decisions and as in Favre’s case, repeated bad decisions. A lot of Love’s INTs have been tipped, dropped or WR fell down on his route. Packer fans are used to Rodgers not having hardly any bad decision throws because he was so hard to fool, so when they see a couple, it is kind of shocking. But everyone has bad luck INTs. Some years you get lucky and the Ds drop your picks, sometimes you get unlucky and the WRs drop good throws into the hands of the D. I’m not worried about bad luck. Love needs to clean up the bad decisions, but he is still learning.

@@ihcterra4625 I'm in agreement. The first interception today was worse than the second. The second was a miss. Sucks when it happens but it happens. The first INT was cut off and tipped by a Viking DB, tipped by Doubs, then picked by a second Viking DB and wasn't a good throw or decision. There was pressure and hopefully as the season goes Love gets more cool under pressure and really settles in to more of the run he had at the end of the last season when he only had 3 INTs to go with the TDs he was piling up.

Thank you for your reaction video and your logical breakdown of a rival's win. That's not easy to do and I really appreciate it. I expected a 10+ point win from Green Bay due mainly to the fact that the Texans had 5 defensive starters out (a suspended DT, 2 injured ILBs and a S and a CB) while also having WR Nico Collins out. First, credit goes to the Texans for being so tough on defense and I now have the utmost respect for HC Ryans ability to get his team ready and able to play down so many guys while on the road. If the Texans aren't one of the 2 or 3 best teams in the AFC, then I shudder in fear at the alternative. Stating that, even though the Texans were down Nico Collins I was amazed at how well the Packers defense played against one of the best QBs in the game and a serious juggernaut of an offense. A Joe Barry defense would have given up a TD in the 4th Quarter, not a FG. The entire defensive mentality has changed since last year and a good D is necessary for any kind of playoff push. Special Teams both won and nearly lost the game for the Packers. Punter Whelan had 5 total punts with an average of 56.8 yards. He also corralled an errant snap on the winning FG. No missed kicks! Yay!... And yet... A turnover on a mishandled punt by Nixon. A 40+ yard kick return. Reed catching a punt in the end zone and then getting tackled at the 4-yard line. Rick Bisaccia was supposed to be this awesome Special Teams coach and yet it's just more of the same crap that we've been seeing for 20+ years of Packers football. Ugh! Jordan Love is a little Favre mixed with a little Rodgers. He trusts his arm to make any throw. The good news is that even Favre had a 33-7 TD-INT ratio one year (alas when he was with the Vikings). Considering that Love in a 10-game stretch last year went 20-1 means that he is capable of maximizing his talents while minimizing his mistakes, but I really hope that it clicks again for him sooner rather than later. Please. Pretty please?

Jordan Love's basic footwork has improved in the past couple games. The bunny hopping has mostly gone away. That is important for consistency. Now may experience teach not to throw into tight double coverage. This is going to be an NFCN race of a lifetime.

Sorry jumping up and down does not quote build torque and allow a strong throw. It does the exact opposite. That is why you see quarterbacks striding into the throw when they're trying to throw deep or throwing Hail Marys you don't see them hopping up and down. Ffs.

As a Texans fan I saw this loss coming we are down to a 4th string corner playing CB2, we are down to 4th and 5th string linebackers, we have Eric Murray playing at safety because Jimmie Ward is out and then on top of that Nico Collins is on IR the guy that CJ trusts down the stretch but even with all them injuries we had a chance to win but congrats to the packers. But one thing is worrying this is the starting oline and can’t give CJ any time.
