I'm new to the Rich Eisen show. Enjoy the content very much. Is it just me or is it strange that Rich's desk is positioned so he is looking down at his guests? I'd take it as an honor to be illegally hit by Polk Highs finest. I never knew Roger played 6 years for the Pensicola Naval Academy before going to the Cowboys. I knew he had to fulfilll his duties prior to the NFL. I wish some footage of those games was available today for viewing. Bet they were classics.

His last season at the Naval Academy was in 1964, graduating in the Spring of 1965. He was in Vietnam from late 1965 until September 1967. He spent the rest of 1967, all of 1968 [he took accumulated leave to attend the Cowboys training camp in August, 1968], and the first half of 1969 in Pensacola. He resigned his commission just in time to start Cowboys training camp in 1969 as a 27 year old rookie.

When I was in 8th grade back in '81, I got flagged for roughing the QB. The ref threw the flag at me. It went right into my face, breaking my nose.
