I want to emphasize how unimaginably stupid Gelmud was for all the anime only watchers here. In the novel Geld's mind is consumed by the starved ability right? So he stands there stupidly saying he is hungry repeatedly like it was in anime while Rimuru beating Gelmud silly. Then Gelmud runs to Geld asking assistance hurling all kinds of insults and shit. Geld still out of his mind only says he is hungry. Than this monument of stupidity yells Geld's name. Hearing his name momentarily distracted geld from his hunger and recognises Gelmud's presence in front of him. Than our genius of the year stands right between Geld and Rimuru turns his back on Geld to point his finger at Rimuru. And specifically says "Geld as your father I order you to eat whoever stands in front of you to become demon lord. That is what he and I wish". At that rare moment of clear mindness since he evolved to orc lord Geld says "well he is the one who named me. Better do whatever he says" and chopped his giga genius head and eats him as per his order said.

So many cool characters in Slime that you always want to so more of each of them but there's never enough time 😢. I was curious about the 'monster' thing as well since it's never really clear. But monster is just a loose term I think for beings made of magicules that get power ups from names. So elves and dwarves aren't, even though they're not human 🤷‍♀️

In the novel, is said that majins and demi-humans are separated based on the closeness with humans. If a race associates more with humans, and have a close relationship with them, like dwarves and elf's, they're demi-humans, if they associate with monsters, and have a close relationship, like demons and kijins, they're majins. Also, there's the evolution path, races like elf's, dwarves and vampires, have the same ancestor as the humans. As for monsters, they have their own evolution path that could or not lead to a more human like look. But in fact, in the end, the line between majins and demi-humans is too blurry.

It also matters whether they're made of magicules or molecules. Dwarves and elves (and normal animals) are made of molecules. Monsters and majin are made of magicules.

The dwarves were made from Twilight Valentine Luminous father making earth Elemental spirits into another vessel he made and thus dwarves are good in making weapons using material of the earth to forge powerful weapons I believe Twilight taught that first Divine dwarf how to make mythical grade weapons cause he made a lot of them

I'm sure you all are curious if Rimuru is considered a demon lord now. No. He did absorb Geld's magicules but that alone isn't enough. A monster with a lot of magicules must also commit mass murder to trigger a demon lord evolution. Geld did that but Rimuru hasn't. But being a stage 1 demon lord (aka demon lord "seed") doesn't automatically make you stronger than everything but another demon lords. There are a few stage 2 (aka true demon lords) that have that kind of god like power but there are also many majin who have power comparable to stage 1 demon lords. Some characters that have claimed the title of demon lord haven't actually undergone the transformation. Even in universe it's not widely known how a person becomes a true demon lord and just knowing isn't enough. The amount of people you have to kill requires a full blown war. Not just destroying a village here and there.

I don't really mind some of the more technical world building stuff was cut but several things that happen make more sense if you learn those details that weren't in the anime.

Saying what is going to happen or revealing what is happening behind the scenes when the author is purposefully keeping that information hidden to reveal later is literally the definition of a spoiler. Why is that so hard to understand? I'm sure these 3 are curious about that stuff too, but have you noticed that they take the time to write things down and discuss their notes between episodes? And again, you're fully aware that the majority of what you were spoiling is going to be revealed later in the show, so why tell them now when it isn't important to know, because this scene will literally be brought back up when it happens? That's the thing I hate most about reaction videos, when overzealous source material readers say too much and spoil future scenes. Just let these people find this stuff out at their own pace and fill them in on things they missed AFTER they happened. That way, the wonder and curiosity isn't ruined for them.
