I'd love to see a retrospective on Lansbury's career! She was a big part of my teenage years, giving me a lifelong love of murder mysteries and whodunnits. My grandma always had Murder She Wrote playing on the TV when I was over. I wanted to be a writer just like her, though I knew I'd never be able to pull off the hijinks she managed to get into. I actually wrote a college report on this episode thanks to your series! We had to compare crime dramas to dramatic theater, but a lot of crime dramas deal with scary stuff that triggers my anxiety (ie screaming, gory/gruesome murders, people angrily yelling at each other) which means very bad panic attacks in my case. But I remembered you covered a series that technically fit the requirements and i didn’t have to have a panic attack after all!!! I know you’re probably not gonna see this, but thank you so much for that, pushinguproses! I watched this episode in October for the Halloween season. The joke about the pain in the neck is that her family has a curse from the witch hundreds of years ago. That actually caused me to form my own head canon that the entire series is based around this curse, because every single Fletcher winds up having the worst-case scenario happen to them according to their jobs. Jessica's husband was a pilot so his plane crashed dramatically, and because Jessica is a mystery writer, murders follow her everywhere for her to solve. haha

Angela Lansbury passing on Oct 11th is especially tragic because it's five days before her birthday (hers is the same as mine that's the only reason I know lol) I know what it's like when a time of celebration gets turned into grief. I only hope they're able to remember the good times

Hi I am from UK 🇬🇧 and love this. It reminds me on cosy Sunday afternoons on the sofa watching with my sons Now they are both in their 30s and we were all heartbroken over her passing. We watched an episode in her memory. And now I'm hooked again. Bless you Angela Landsbury.

When the news about Angela Lansbury broke, I immediately changed the schedule of our Halloween movie marathon to include Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

I would love to see you cover south by southwest in the future it was an extra long murder she wrote where Jess basically caught two KGB agents.

Her death came as such a shock and I hate to sound like I speak for all but I'd love to hear your thoughts on Angela Lansbury because you seem to be passionate about her and she seems like one of your idols. Like it'd be real neat to hear an Angela Lansbury retrospective. 1:38 also dude that stop in the name of love bit reminded me of my childhood. Whenever I would say stop, that's how my Dad would've responded. So whenever I hear someone say "In The Name Of Love" after Stop it reminds me of growing up.

8:40 To be fair, if I saw someone who's played by Brad Dourif, I'd assume he killed someone too.

Angela Landsbury played one of the most prolific serial killers ever... Did you ever wonder how so many people died when she was around? AND always managed to pin it on someone else!

Wow Roddy McDowell AND Brad Dourif.

When I heard Angela Lansbury had died, I immediately thought of you. So much of your sense of comfort and security seems bound up in her, I knew you'd be devasted. Hope you're OK, and really looking forward to your tribute to her (the Columbo one was masterful). Really enjoyed this vid - take care :)

Murder, She Wrote was how my Gigi spent time with me. I would spend every school vacation watching this with her while she crocheted. I am so sad she died. She was a great actress & sounded like an interesting & kind woman.

I don’t feel ashamed to say that I sobbed when Dame Angela passed. She meant so much to us all. This is one of my favorite episodes of the show.

4:27 In case you missed the joke about Irene and Eileen, the song is "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners.
