One thing I think you'll always find in the episodes of Murder She Wrote where Jessica seems to make LEAPS of logic is that there are always deleted scenes. I'll bet that there is a minute long scene on some cutting room floor where Jessica speaks to this woman, and then notices her unusual shoe print being left in the sand. Like, I'll bet the scene even has the hitwoman going on about how she was totally a teacher who loved teachering the students in her teachering place, and Jessica being like, oh that's odd, I did teach English, so that seems strange you say that this way. haha
@kingbeauregard Жыл бұрын
Like'd for "teachering place". Although, if she were masquerading as an English teacher specifically, then Jessica could have caught her on a point of grammar, for example failing to use subjunctive properly or saying "less" when "fewer" would be more appropriate.

That’s Maurice Roeves playing the ‘Sea Captain’. He was all over UK TV in the 1970s & 80s when I was growing up. Mostly playing, tough, hard bitten Scotsmen. Loads of featured guest roles on hit shows plus the occasional regular character. Dr Who, The Sweeney, Danger UXB, Bergerac, etc. Lots of theatre too apparently, with plenty of Shakespeare. Looks like he made the move to the US in the mid-1980s. Probably best remembered for the movie ‘Last of the Mohicans’.

I'd love to see you tackle the 2-parter "Mirror Mirror On the Wall" (season 5 finale), featuring veteran actress Jean Simmons as a rival mystery novelist who tries to upstage Jess. Also features one of the single best moments in the show's history, when Sheriff Metzger asks Jess, "What is this place, the murder capital of Maine?" Also, "Incident at Lot 7"(season 8). Jess is in Hollywood where a studio is adapting one of her books, and a murder takes place on the Bates Motel set from "Psycho".
