@@naimishtiakahmed9221 Ehh I'd say they're on par. Sure, NFS Rivals has a dynamic weather system, but that doesn't correspond with graphics. NFS Unbound has pedestrians (for the first time in the NFS franchise apart from *maybe* NFS Payback) which makes the world more alive, the cars look great, you can turn the driving effects off now, and overall both NFS Rivals and NFS Unbound's graphics are equally as good imo.

So many of the people still playing NFS are either Unbound multiplayer players, or people who actually enjoy racing games not just car culture. Games got highjacked lately. Sure NFS has always been about the culture of the time. Maybe it’s more a reflection on modern car culture than nfs that the new games and community is so garbage and toxic. All I know is that because my favorite NFS is Rivals I get an ungodly amount of hate. Even got a death threat for it. Imagine that, for a game. I think Hot Pursuit 2010 and Rivals are possibly some of the best nfs games ever. While MW 05 revolutionized the genre with its police system and gritty story. (Well, campy now, but it was a product of its time. It’s why it has so much charm) and Prostreet arguably created the basis for Horizon to jump off of. I think that Hot Pursuit 2010 was the first time I ever realized how much fun it could be to just play a game. All the way through I enjoyed every second. Which while I love the black box games they still had their flaws. I know nostalgia makes them hard to see, but they weren’t perfect. I do think for what Hot Pursuit was supposed to be. It is so perfectly. Not a perfect game either sure. But it is pure and unabashedly NFS in its own right. I do miss the Criterion lead games. Was such a short period but I have more fond memories of Hot Pursuit 2010, MW2012, and Rivals than of any other Game out there. They were fun where it matters for an arcade racer, just hurts to have had so much fun with them only to be told it was wrong to enjoy these games and mechanics, that the “more cars+more customization+simcade sudo-realism= best NFS” is what the community really believes just… feels so wrong to me. Also. You have WAY less subs than deserved. Hope to see you blow up!

@@mostlyjovial6177 yeah, I definitely do feel like the quality came back once Criterion got involved, cause it became like what Call of Duty does now and rotates developers, giving the devs 2 years on each game. BlackBox were stretched unbelievably thin, having to make NFS World, Skate 3 and The Run all within a 3 year span, along with assisting Criterion in development of their game should they need it. The only instance we have of this though is Hot Pursuit, and then NFS The Run. BlackBox got shut down immediately after. And thank you for the kind words

i grew up with the need for speeds from the run onwards. i have my gripes with some of them (payback im looking at u) but heat, the run and rivals are not only my fav games in the franchise but some of my favs oat. i recently started playin the games from the “golden age” of NFS (underground-prostreet) i started with underground 2. and im loving it so far! very close to finishing, but i dont understand what exactly makes these games so much better than the 3 i mentioned earlier to me a game like UG2 and say rivals are vastly different games that fill different needs of mine. if i want crazy customization, no cops and a early F&F vibe then i go UG2. if i want cops n something intense? rivals. both? heat i have no doubt that the rest of those games im gonna play are amazing, but i think NFS fans are blinded by nostalgia and want the same exact game every year, when if the series went that direction itd be stale quick. i hope criterion (assuming they’re doing the next entry) isnt afraid to take risks and try new things for next time.

Love them to bits personally. And considering NFS Unbound is getting an NFS Hot Pursuit inspired Cops VS Racers update in Volume. 8 which is less than a week from now, in which I am so damn excited for. Can't fricking wait! @WSPonPlayStationandXbox4 ай бұрын
I don't wanna sound like an EA defender here. But it's not actually EA or Ghost Games/Criterion Games' fault. It's the Xbox Network's fault. I've known this for a while now so you deserve the truth. All Xbox consoles run all Xbox games from the cloud, being the "Xbox Network", in which a number of games on your Xbox console will have game crashing issues, save data corruption issues, and more. And NFS Rivals in particular is one of them. And I know this because I play NFS Rivals on my PlayStation 5 with no issues because the PS5 console has the option to save video game save data to the local console storage, and so can PC with its local PC storage, meaning the save data and the games themselves are stored securely within the storage of the device itself. I did play NFS Rivals on Xbox One too. However, that game would crash on the loading screen alone if I didn't wait a whole minute before pressing the A button to find an online multiplayer session. This means that Xbox consoles do not as there is no option to switch any game save data to local console storage because Xbox themselves wanted to go down the DRM route, meaning online-only to access anything within the console, even singleplayer or offline games on Xbox consoles aren't playable without an internet connection. The same applies to physical games too. While on PlayStation consoles and PC systems don't have this so the games run fine on them devices, even without an internet connection, where on Xbox, they do not. So everything is stored in a server which can lead to various issues like the one you're having with NFS Rivals. So unless you have a USB drive or USB stick to secure all your Xbox games to the console itself with little to no issue, then you're out of luck unfortunately. So yeah, I'm sorry to say this, but this is a hardware issue, not an EA issue.
@redpandafirefox94344 ай бұрын
@WSPonPlayStationandXbox no thank you for telling me. I believe I do have a USB, don't know if it'll still crash. That's really unfortunate. Another reason this higher ups at companies are terrifyingly oblivious. I've noticed this doesn't happen on PS5 too. Thankfully I have rivals on the PS5 so I could play it on there. So stupid. Thank you so much.

NFSMW 2005 it peaked. Then it peaked again at NFSHP and NFSHPR. I see people say the car handling is terrible in hp, but to that I say skill issue. If you can't drift or turn corners in a racing game, then you aren't good at using cars in video games because you can't adapt to how each car plays out. Anyway, in my super honest opinion. There needs to be combination with HP and Rivals. They were both amazing games as they gave the player... choices. You could race or chase. Which gave people who want to bust racers a cop experience or give the normal nfs experience and play racer. The following things I would take from each game and combine would be: HP: Car handling, map, graphics, voice lines, ost, and it's no story. Rivals: Car selection, free roam, weapon variety, and it's customization, NOT MODIFICATION. Now, for it's no story. Need For Speed has a place in my heart for it being a racing, friends, crashing, and busting game. Not a story game. Most story's in NFS ruin it's original theme which was just crash and race. Two good examples would be... Rivals, had a story, but it wasn't complex as hell. It was just how racers and cops were rivals. HFSMW 2005 had a story, but it also wasn't complex. It was just about becoming the most wanted. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit has NO story, which gives NFS it's original theme. To RACE, CHASE, HAVE FUN, AND CRASH. We are starting to go far out of what NFS really is about. I do have hopes for the new NFS game. I've heard that it's combining all of the NFS games, so... I hope to be satisfied. Me when I yap 😭

I like how people were saying that nfs should go back to its roots BUT these games were literally the definition of them going back to their roots. Minus the weapons and cops and you have road and track: need for speed remake (keep the weapons and you mostly have hot pursuit 2) My only gripe with Hot Pursuit was its handling. Cars felt on rails when cornering and you really couldn’t chain drifts.

Exactly! The first NFS I ever played was the PS1 version of NFS III, literally the OG HOT PURSUIT as that was the game's subtitle. I guess simplicity is boring to some people, even though that's what the original first few games were: simple.

Hell yes. Majority of people would like NFS to return to their roots, as in the most wanted or underground style, but in reality, NFS’s roots are sports cars with cop chases. NFS 1-4 are the roots of NFS. Hot Pursuit 2 is the dawn of a new era that still stays in it’s roots.

Need for Speed Unbound may get weapons too so this video may not be great timing lol. Volume. 8 Cops VS Racers is literally in a week from now (should've been yesterday but it got delayed) as it is NFS Hot Pursuit inspired. Oh and when you said NFS Unbound "slightly" tops it, while I do agree because it's scratched an itch of mine, I have to say that NFS Hot Pursuit is very damn good. The only things I hate about NFS Hot Pursuit is the lack of a free-roam. It does have the option of free-roam in the singleplayer campaign, but it's just so bare-bones that it's not worth playing unless testing certain cars outside of campaign events. And I also hate the facf that every Cop chase is just always scripted. Like Criterion Games could've at least had added Cop chases to the very bare-bones free-roam that NFS Hot Pursuit has. Because it would actually encourage players to enter said free-roam. Oh and btw, I think the Class/Tier system in NFS Unbound as a car-balancing feature was inspired by NFS Hot Pursuit because it has 5 Classes or "Series" from what it's called in the game. Maybe also from NFS Most Wanted 2012 too, but you don't see any kind of Class, Tier, or Series system anywhere apart from maybe its online multiplayer. So yeah I just liked to point that out too. P.S. Great video! You've earned a new sub! Keep up the content ❤
