I love the uniqueness of this timeline that Hyde created. There’s a lot of small details that raises questions about the world itself. For instance, it never even occurred to me that Pegasus still had his Millennium Eye until just now. It makes sense given Ishizu still had her necklace, but it does beg the question of where are the others. Marik doesn’t seem to have the Rod anymore, and we have yet to see Bakura (the time crusade spirit doesn’t count). Each new installment of this audio drama keeps getting better and better and I’m here for it.

It was confirmed that this is a timeline where Yugi failed to defeat Atem in the ceremonial duel, which is why both have stuck around and the two still have the Puzzle and all 3 god cards. So maybe Yugi/Atem just figured the items could go back to their good/reformed previous users. The Rod and Ring probably remaining in the tablet, the former due to Marik and Seto probably not wanting anything to do with it and the latter just being too much of a potential hazard (see DSOD). And funnily, this means Shadi is still hanging around somewhere because that was kind of his point of existing as a ghost - to help guide events to the Pharaoh's passing and monitor the misuse of the items. So he would actually fill a good role of safeguarding the tablet with the Rod, Ring, Scales, and Key, while Ishizu, Pegasus, and Yugi carry the remaining 3.

Eh, more like DnD or your other traditional tabletop games. There's always a rules lawyer who tries to make an Everything-Proof Shield. Most attempts are childish. Then there's the legend of Old Man Henderson, the player so fed up with his Call of Chuthulu DM bending him over the (metaphorical) table and killing his characters in the stupidest ways possible, he made a character so insane and fucking cracked out (and through a fucking novel worth of backstory) he "won" Call of Chthulu by the end, even managing to take out a literal elder god in the process in game

When I saw this had released, I immediately set it aside for a special moment where I knew I'd otherwise be waiting in dire need of entertainment. Well that time has come!. I'm always thankful to get more of this series, so thank you for this gift, Hyde! These videos are always such a good time. I'm very tempted to say Kaiba and Yugi are your best characters, but it's impossible to comfortably sit on that claim when your Joey also exists. They're all so good I can't claim a favorite! That said, your years of experience ad-libbing Kaiba in particular are definitely the most noticeable. Perhaps even... inspiring: You're a third rate content creator with a fourth rate channel, but I'll admit that you've lived up to the lofty standards of a broken clock, and for that you should feel honored. That you could reach the dizzying heights of "Defective Product" will doubtless go down as the greatest moment of pride in your mediocre parents' wasted lives. I'm sure when they inevitably choke to death on a Cheese Waffie as their brains buckle under the pressure of navigating the complexities of chewing, they'll be able to die at peace as the last thing they see will be a picture of your one satisfied subscriber taped to their refrigerator. As their pointless, idle lives meet an end and they're lowered into their twenty dollar graves to continue being exactly as productive as they've always been, you make sure to hug that picture for comfort real tight. You've earned it, kid. (Okay, writing for Kaiba *is* pretty fun. Hope it got a laugh!)

I like how Duelist Kingdom is less of a skill issue is more of a creativity issue. Jack is a skilled duelist, but lacks in creativity. Zane, while not known for it, can get creative with his cyber dragons.

Actually yusei did not cheat not at all in fact he’s completely innocent as someone was trying to kill him and make him suffer, which goes against the rules of speed dueling you knock down your opponent, but you cannot kill them If you do you’re in the wrong for it and disqualified
