Whenever Artur got close he would do touch punches and not really throw them too hard. Especially when it seemed he had Bivol in a tough spot, part of me thinks that he was wary of a Bivol Counter as Bivol caught him with a few in the early rounds. Bivol did a really good job at not being cornered and not enaging in futil firefights like the rest of Arturs opponents. I really believe Artur couldve ended the fight at around RD 10 onwards. In the rematch I can see Bivol being a bit more confident and Artur pushing to hurt him early on

Beterbiev hit Bivol behind the head, causing Bivol to lose an entire round as he was stunned. I've seen Beterbiev use those short hammer punches before when the opponent's head is down. Bivol didn't complain, which is typical of him. He won the fight by focusing on boxing rather than playing to his opponent's strengths. Since Beterbiev's main asset is his power, it wouldn't make sense for an opponent to engage in a direct exchange with a stronger fighter if its not possible to match that person. Its boxing and not the strongest man in the universe competition.
