I think auto boxes on bikes now are becoming more common and will in time be standard across all major brands and models because it seems to me that manual boxes are going to be slowly phased out over time in favour of autos. And whilst I would much rather change gears myself I love the idea of an auto and reckon it'd definitely be a great help while in traffic or slow speed manoeuvres where you're just constantly either hovering over or keeping the clutch pulled in, it does get tiresome after a bit especially if the clutch is heavy.

Hi Fella. Luv your vids but may I make a small suggestion. When giving a bike "the beans" like this new BMW block out the speedo coz if a jobsworth is having a bad day and our glorious boys and girls in blue see a speedo showing a high speed you may and I say may have some explaining to do. I'm being selfish here coz I want to see more of the vids that you are going to produce. Keep safe and upright, Old Bloke.

Great review. How does parking work on a hill. Does it auto hold? Also appreciate having a clutch on my 160 BHP old Beamer largely because you can control the power setting off in tight spaces by feathering the clutch to make it very manageable meaning you’re not gonna launch yourself into a nearby parked car. We’ll try not to😅 . Certainly made me want to test ride one anyway looks like loads of fun. Thanks.
@thatbikersimon
@thatbikersimon 12 күн бұрын
I be honest I didn’t try the hill hold out but I guessing it would probably work better because you can’t stall the bike and it’s smooth on the off, I guess fundamentally its what you want your bike to do, if your a road and occasional trail riders I prefer it because I have more control over the bike even at the slower speeds. You should go and try it for yourself and please let me know how you get on, more and more manufacturers are doing down this road on the bigger adventure bikes because of the type of riding most guys do, but it’s alway nice to have the choice between ASA and manual shift. Thanks for the comment and enjoy your ride 🏍️💨💨💨👍
