I've done heaps of miles with a Honda NM4 (yes) with a fairly early version of DCT - from Estonia to Nordkapp, Alps and most recently Romania. It allows me to focus on the scenery, the twisties, the traffic in large foreign towns, etc.. I recently sold it and picked up an R1250RS and to be fair.. once they release a R1300RS with this version, I'm probably switching to it. I don't really miss shifting gears to be honest. But I also do enjoy it at times (though, all automatics allow an override anyway).

The base AT = 231 then add DCT = 242kg The Base GS = 237 then add ASA = 239.1kg Add Electronic Suspension to the AT = 233kg (cause GS does not come without ES) It's just a numbers thing, my brain automatically goes there...sorry. (it drives my wife crazy) So if you equip both bikes the same and then add Automatic Clutch, the GS is always lighter and lower center of gravity.

Can you review a dct goldwing I'm curious about your opinion

Been contemplating doing that for the last 2 summers but the nearest Goldwing dealer is about an hour and half ride from me. So been putting it off until I have a free day to ride out and introduce myself and see if they want to work with me or not, if not then it's a wasted day. Here in Germany Honda dealers don't carry Goldwings, they are special, few and far between, kind of like Harley dealers, except Harley dealers, here in Germany, are total snobs, selling an expensive American brand and "if you don't ride a Harley you aint shit" yes I'm quoting the guy from the day when I pulled up on my BMW...lol, I'm on a BMW and he says that to me. WOW! And the kicker is I'm an American (he didn't know that though). But I don't think the Goldwing guys will be like the Harley guys...I hope.

@NothingToProve try if you can just picked up a 2021 DCT and man is it something interesting, I think you would like it very much.

Not a big thing but, with DCT, can’t break the shift lever and there’s no way to mistakenly foot shift while standing on the pegs bouncing through the bouncy stuff.

Yeah I don't miss manual.gearbox. But it's also nice change to get back on traditional gearbox bike and appreciate that mechanical feel sometimes. But only for some time. After 10minutes I already miss my dct 😂

It's not really clear to me, you want to sell the GS and keep the RT, and now you say whether I should exchange the GS for the GS ASA, explain it to us a bit 😉

You want to buy it? Make me an offer! Then I won't have it any more 😂

Great ride through !! Having an impaired left hand from birth i’ve been looking for something along the lines of an Africa Twin or possibly the BMW. I’ve held a bike license since the age of 17 and used to put a “cranked” clutch lever on the bikes. Now amongst 61 i’m looking towards an easier ride.. Happy days 🤪
