Great list. Although I personally think that Greninja and Alain's Charizard should not be higher than Gardevoir and Metagross at all. Greninja didn't participate in M8 at all. Leon's Rillaboom should be in the list over it. Iris's Haxorus fought toe to toe with Mega Garchomp while Alain's Mega Charizard X got stomped by a Charizard without any battle gimmick on that fight. I agree with that: he said there would be no hypotheticals for this ranking, but what he said about Ash-Greninja is just that, considering we never actually got to see it use the form after it reunited with Ash. Also consider that this was before Lucario mastered it's aura bond with Ash, and by extension, before it beat Cynthia's OP Garchomp in the Masters 8 tournament, so it's unknown how much more powerful Greninja would truly be if Ash actually used it again

I feel like Flint is the very definition of "Elite 4", and the definition of that Rank in contrast to other Titles. We actually saw Flint battle 4 separate times. Against a Trainer: Ash, Which Flint Won. Against a Gym Leader: Jasmine, Which Flint Won. Against a Regional Champion: Cynthia, Which Flint Lost. Against a Regional and World Champion: Leon, Which Flint Lost. Meaning An Elite 4 member beat lower Rank Trainers, and Lost to high Rank trainers, in being The 7th Strongest in the World, before losing to Leon dropping him to 8th... and knowing how the Masters 8 Tournament works, we do know Flint had to Lose at least 1 more time, in this case, Probably to either Alain or Iris, since Flint was not apart of the Final Masters 8 Bracket, and the Trainer in 8th in the Trainer that Battles in the next Promotion Match, which is what Ash vs Raihan was. In my opinion, id like to believe Iris is the 1 who defeated Flint to become a member of the Masters 8 herself, given that would compliment the trend too, The Champion Iris beating the Elite 4 member Flint. But now... I wonder who Alain had to defeat to become a Masters 8 member???

⁠I'd say they're still reletive, both stronger than a pokemon like haxourus. Its also obvious they're both stronger than lucario, knowing lucario was struggling so much when against greninja, this is assuming charizard is still reletive to greninja. Since greninja was struggling any bit against lucario, you could scale him above Gardivoir

My list based off feats Honorable mentions rillaboom and ash's sceptile(no infernape here he is overrated) 10th haxorus (Base garchomo would have still beaten it high diff) 9th ash's lucario 8th ash's Charizard he beat a legendary Pokemon years ago and became the strongest at that Charizard valley and got stronger with training would be higher than alain's Charizard if it had mega evolution bc it scales above legendary birds in base 7th alain's Charizard (Alain's Charizard was nerfed so it is lower) 6th gardevoir 5th ash's greninja (Its return in journeys he was fast and his shurikens look bigger and he is physically much stronger now in journeys he would easily beat alain's Charizard now 4th mega metagross bc steven is the 3rd strongest trainer 3rd mega garchomp 2nd leon's Charizard 1st ash's Pikachu

That’s fair, our rankings are pretty similar. Only gripe I have with Mega Metagross is that we didn’t get to see it do much ON SCREEN.

@@thatboyminus he was able to tank alain's mega Charizard's blastburn as if nothing happened and was clearly way stronger of the 2 greninja lost to blastburn now ik greninja got stronger and would stomp alain's mega Charizard looking at his journeys feats but i don't think he can tank blast burn so easily like metagross and Steven was the 3rd strongest trainer

Clearly huge XY bias here. How is mega lucario below mega charizard x and mega gardevoir when he clearly has better feats? Mega lucario beating gmax togekiss and cynthia's garchomp in one battle is clearly better showing than others. Steven not only ranked higher than alain and diantha, but also his mega metagross survived ash's strongest gimmick that defeated a stronger opponent than mega charizard x and ash-greninja in past.
