People have said it before, but I’ll say it again: it is *so* awesome that you find and use actual photos, news clips, paperwork like autopsy reports explicitly about the case at hand. So many true crime channels talk about crimes with stock footage in the background (talking about a court case with a gavel as the image, etc). It makes the stories much more interesting as well as tells the complete story. It is very much appreciated!

I enjoy those clips as much as you do, however, have to point out that theres a good reason many true crime channels steer clear of using footage from other sources. Any clip inserted from an outside source can lead quickly to demonitization or even copyright strikes under the current policies of youtube.

I love how the defense's main point is that her fingers weren't wrinkled, but wrinkling fingertips actually requires someone to be alive because it's caused by constriction of the blood vessels in the fingers, not by absorbing water. If the jury had been told that, it would have tossed out the entire defense

Am I the only one thinking this “doctor” knew they would look for pruning in skin so paid the pool guy to toss her in the pool. All the pool guy had to do is where gloves. Something also a doctor would have; and it makes even more sense why he wouldn’t want to pull her out and try and “resuscitate her” or “get his dna” on her. She was long dead; just thrown in the water much later.

I know I am MONTHS late on this, but her fingers not being wrinkled is not a good way to tell how long someone had been in the water. Your fingers wrinkling is an involuntary reaction by the body's autonomic nervous system. People who have nerve damage in their fingers do not get wrinkly when submerged for long periods of time. This has actually been known since the 1930's!

I can't fault the handyman, I would not have gone in after her either. The anxiety and disorientation of finding a body would make it very dangerous to dive in deep water and attempt to lift a body out. I'm not a strong swimmer, I'd be hyperventilating, and I'm sure as heck not about to join her at the bottom for a tea party.

He totally did it. I have seen a lot more of the details of this case. He did several tv interviews, and they even had video footage from the night of the murder of them having an argument while driving into the gated community they lived in. He is classic narcissist.

I mean a neighbor with zero motive to lie literally testified to seeing a woman matching Samira’s exact description being outside the house at 10:30 AM. The state’s own medical examiner discredited the jailhouse snitch’s story, by saying the injuries to Samira were not consistent with those inflicted by that golf club. These things alone provide reasonable doubt. If you disagree, then you don’t have a clear comprehension of what reasonable doubt means.

The neighbor was clearly mistaken as to the time/date they saw a lady outside the house. Likely they saw her a day earlier - on Friday morning or Friday afternoon - and got confused. Eye witness testimony is very unreliable.

I think he hit her with something in the head during a fight they were having, then grabbed the kids and left. I think when she was hit, she was knocked out and when she came through, she was stumbling around and fell in the pool and drowned. Thus why she was seen after he left, and was barely in the pool before she was found.

The handyman actually did the right thing by not contaminating the crime scene. Had he believed her to still be alive he probably would’ve pulled her out of the water and performed CPR, however, in this situation it was obvious to him that she was no longer alive. He was right to not want to put his DNA anywhere near a dead woman’s body.

Starting my day off right with a dose of That Chapter. I've been a true crime fan since Robert Stack was on Unsolved Mysteries, which as a 10 yr old I was most paranoid kid on the block. I'd be the first one screaming stranger danger at anyone I didn't know and became OCD with checking the locks at night on all house doors. Mike has one of the best true crime channels if not the best on KZbin. He always keeps it real and has all the details! Love it!
