Thanks for the video. I would personnaly be really interested in knowing more about the differences between a SN dev and an architect. Beside technical knowledge of the platform and industry, what are the soft skills that make a great architect? I would also love to see your point of view of the differences between cta and cma. As always, thanks for the content, and happy to see you on reddit now

Great suggestions! I’ve added both topics to my list! And thanks for the welcome to Reddit. Still getting the hang of the audience there, haha.

Hey Allen, thanks for your usual insightful videos. I my case, I am a digital BA that wants to pivot into servicenow related projects before going in the admin/developer route. Could you please advise? I want to be able to build the domain/platform knowledge so I am able to work efficiently and effectively as a ServiceNow BA

Thanks for being supportive! Could you maybe explain what a digital BA does from your end? Have you had a chance to check out my Project Roles and Responsibilities: Business Analyst? I ask, because those 2 videos (part 1 and 2) explain, briefly, what a ServiceNow BA would be doing. Outside of that, you’d definitely want to take the free ServiceNow Now Learning course: Welcome to ServiceNow. That will give you a good overview of the system. That’s a good course for even Project Managers and such to take as well to get familiar with the system. Additionally, I’d recommend getting a free personal developer instance (we call it developer, but it’s really just a free instance for anyone). That’s at developer.servicenow.com - that will allow you to play around, get familiar, etc. from there, you can access Now Create and search for the starter stories related to IT Service Management (ITSM). Then, practice working through those stories in your ServiceNow instance. This again, helps you get an idea of 1) story structure and content and style, 2) hands on practice from a high level just so you’re aware of some of the minor details. This combines into a great effort to get you onto the same page so when you’re working as a ServiceNow specific BA, you’re able to jump right in. I hope this helps you in your journey! Keep me posted on how it goes!!
