Dude! Excited to find you. No other shoe review person has been this specific about feet. I have very wide, EEE+ and tall mid foot. No one gets how hard it is to find shoes that fit. Thank you for what appears to be an insane commitment to show reviews.

I’m definitely looking forward to getting a pair of the high tops! I’ve been waiting for this review and their release! How do they compare to say, old school Otomix shoes if you are familiar with those?
@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
These are wider with better grip. I don't love the Otomix shoes, tbh - that may be a controversial take, tho. They're kind of ugly and are basically wrestling shoes, lol.

Hey Jake, great review. I’m an avid barefoot shoe user who uses Xero 360s to play tennis. Always on the lookout for a shoe with a bit more cushioning and sole durability. How do you think this compares to the 360s for court sports like tennis?
@thatfitfriend3 ай бұрын
These won't have more cushioning that you're after. I'd honestly look into the Inov8 Bare XF for that ask. Their Boomerang insole is a little more forgiving

How do these fare as basketball shoes? I've been searching for a barefoot/wide toe box basketball shoes but I haven't found any
@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
I can't really speak defintivetly to that since I haven't tested them in that vertical and don't want to blow smoke, but I feel like the high-top would be solid. Enough ankle support like traditional basketball shoes and good grip.

When comparing Avancus Apex Power V2 and Notorious Lift Radix, which one would you say has the wider toe box?
@thatfitfriend8 ай бұрын
AVANCUS by a smidge, but I think that's also due to the upper having a tad more volume!

@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
These feel a smidge wider than the Radix, HOWEVER, I think that's because they run longer. In terms of pure width at base of forefoot etc. they're pretty similar

Hi Jake, thanks for the great review! I have seen other reviews mentioning the size difference between the lows and the high tops. They were noticing the highs are slightly bigger. Have you also noticed any size difference? I am wearing size 42 V1s and it is very tight with almost no room, even with thin socks. Should I go with 43 for the high tops? Thanks!
@thatfitfriend6 ай бұрын
Eh, I'd prob go 42 in the high-top. You should be okay. 43 would be the safe bet, though, if you're nervous! Either way, I think you'd be aight

I have questions about the Radix vs Aerolux. I’ve run through the tread on two pairs of Bearfoot Ursus specifically on bench within a year. I rely on a lot of grip with my leg drive. My question is which tread feels better and which feels like it’s gonna run down faster?

Go for the Radix or cop the AVANCUS. These models won't miss for you, imo

Definitely checking out the mid tops. How does your link work? How does the 10% get applied?
@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
I believe it's auto applied, or it's "TF2" or "thatfitfriend" - I'm not sure, LOL. If those don't work, then I'd use "WOOLSON" or one of the athlete's codes to support them. Appreciate you checking out the video!

Is this better than traditional weight lifting shoes with heel elevated? I box squat and stiff leg deadlift unsure if these are the right move. I do wear barefoot shoes rest of the time in all aspects of life. However my weightlifting shoes are size up on purpose for toe space. :) any advice would be welcomed love the video thank you 🙏🏻
@thatfitfriend14 күн бұрын
It depends on whatever you perform best. You don't need a heel elevated shoe by any means. If your mechanics are fine with what you're doing, then I'd stay the course

Hi! Do you know how the V2s compare to Notorious lift Gen 3s for powerlifting (especially sumo)? Which one is grippier and has a wider toe box? Thanks!! love the reviews
@thatfitfriend5 ай бұрын
Both are great. AVANCUS has a bit more upper volume if you need that, though.
@Willowfeather5 ай бұрын
@@thatfitfriend Thanks! I don't quite get what you mean by upper volume though. Is it the firmness of the upper part of the shoe? or the space inside the shoes above the toes?
@maydee30002 ай бұрын
i have the radix and the back has this hard edge that rubs against my ankles to the point of bleeding; would the avancus be better for that or is it just a question of breaking them in?
@thatfitfriend2 ай бұрын
@@maydee3000 have your worn longer socks to mitigate this during the break in? The AVANCUS may be similar as their boot can also be pretty rigid. Do you wear other barefoot shoes atm?

I noticed these run kinda small too. I just got the blue and white 2.0’s and I normally wear 13 in all shoes but these feel a bit snug around the toes. I’d size up half a size.
@Wemmajimmah9 ай бұрын
If you have a thicker wider foot like me (I’m 290 lbs 6’3”) size up half size i regret not getting 13.5. But these will work once I beat them up a bit.
@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
Yeah, I think they'll stretch for you. Interesting you find them snugger, I wonder if there's a discrepancy with larger sizes or because it's a straight 13 versus the 10-10.5.
@Jantazo9 ай бұрын
Would u recommend these for a lot of plyometric training outside on concrete?
@thatfitfriend9 ай бұрын
They should be okay if you're hitting it 1-2x a week, but you may be better served with something like the Inov-8 Bare XF or Xero Shos HFS, though. Only because the grip [lugs] of these will be awesome, but it may actually be too grippy and break down faster from excessive stress.

I’d like to know something: have you ever experienced differences in tackiness/grippiness based on outsole color ? let me explain: the chinese table tennis pros use black rubbers only on the forehand cos’ it generates more spin and control than the red version of the same product, and it’s harder to generate spin and control on forehand in the modern powerfull table tennis, do you think there are differences between white and black or even natural rubber outsoles ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipetaWigrcR7qsUfeature=shared
@firstlast238619 күн бұрын
Absolutely a difference, my experience with basketball shoes has shown me this. Gum shoe rubber is grippiest, most bite but also most frail. White tends to be stickier vs black but frays easier.
