Great setup. I've been carrying my mask bag on my duty belt the same way with those exact locking d-rings for 8 years now. It is the most comfortable way to wear it and easy to ditch if needed.

Nice setup! I carry the gas mask bag on the front side of the belt (as a fanny pack, i know..). It doesnt get in the way when crouching or making arrests. If you carry it like that, it also has a 2nd function as groin protector 😜

Well I know I’m 3 years late but I actually do something very similar. My gas mask bag has 2 small D rings at the top of it. I use those to clip on my belt. My belt has 2 of those heavy duty clips for your car/handcuff keys. It works great and allows me to take it off during training.

I have retention lanyard hanging from D rings in that spot. If we need to go hands on I have to retain my rifle.

It looks like you could probably run a thigh strap through the loops on the carrier to keep it tighter to ur body and stop it from flopping as much

Not sure about you guys in the US but here in the UK the bags/pouches we are issued in the military come with belts, clips and a leg strap for this exact purpose. I like your idea tho of using caribiners so you can unclip one if working in tight spaces etc. And might use this method myself👌

You could also use the Blackhawk omega leg extender and attach it to your belt rig.

👍 nice. I’ve been trying to find a good solution for this . I have the military issue. M-42/m-45 mask pouch so it doesn’t work quite the same.. although this gives me some ideas of how I may be able to modify the pouch to work like this. Thanks man .

It’s just a standard gas mask pouch by Point blank with names or markings, just a normal pouch, I found it on point blank enterprises. Just fyi brother
