Good stuff, I’m one of our agencie’s TCCC instructor and that’s how I run my TQ windlass Velcro too. I can show you a way to fold it so that it won’t stick to itself at all and deploy as one big loop. Love your page and content brother! Keep it up!

I have a way that will aloow the TQ to fall completely open without even shaking it. Everyone sticks the Velcro to itself so it doesn't open. Why? You want it open NOW, so why have to shake and shake to get an opening? If you fold it opposite way, so the smooth part is against the velcro (WISH I could upload pics!), then it will fall right open as soon as you pull it free. It is NOT conventional but after having messed with mine and watched a gob of vids, the staging I found, happens to give you immediate access to a large opening, simply by deploying your TQ. If there's a way to get you pics so you can demo this, I'll happily share because it works- NOT because I'm all that, but because what anyone wants when they have to deploy one of these, happens when removed from a pouch. THIS is the aspect about my staging that's most important, and NOT me, personally.

If you haven’t already, go to FLETC’s TACMED course, they show a couple other methods to save time, also use SOF-T and CAT AND they provide you with a fully loaded IFAK. Stay safe brother 🤙🏼

Folding the tip of the strap also keeps it from sliding out.

Hey man. Im a cop in Georgia. Ive been wanting to put together an active shooter plate carrier, or a “that moment” carrier. I have a permanent shot gun issued but my department has not put on a patrol rifle class in a while. I simply can not wait for that to happen to put my carrier together. Could you make a video about certain pouches and set up from beginning to end? Also. If there are any sources on how to obtain extra S&W M&P 2.0 9mm 17 round magazines that would be awesome if you could divulge. One more thing, since I only have a patrol shot gun, what would be best to carry extra shot gun rounds on a plate carrier or possibly on my person. I know there are side saddles to buy but is there anything I can possibly put on my belt, or deploy from my car quickly to have a few extra rounds ready. I would really appreciate it brother

Tyler Wise have you seen my duty belt video? If not, there’s a little trick I have there for my shotgun. As far as things you can have on a plate carrier, there are sleeves that are the size of a standard m4 msg and you can store it in a normal m4 pouch.

What are your thoughts on that placement on your holster after having used it for a couple months?

Nice! The only "downside" I can see is that the red tip is no longer visible. It can be a bit more harder for others to find your tourniquet. Specially if the others are untrained people. I guess that in mil/leo teams it doesn't really matter because they already know where the CAT is, having red tip or not. I'm just thinking out loud. Great video!

I broke one of those CAT's plastic sticks once. Now I carry ones with a metal bar. I am guessing it broke from too much exposure over time. Good tips man.
