Microneedling really works. My face was covered in scars (acne, chickenpox, and corrective surgeries). I had scars on top of scars. I had three surgical dermabrasions, countless ablative and non-ablative laser sessions, chemical peels, and other less aggressive treatments. I even had two partial facelifts when I was 24 and 26 years old because the plastic surgeon thought that the surgery would help make the scars less visible. The only treatment that actually made a difference was microneedling. Most of the scars are now gone and the existing ones are more shallow and less visible. I've been having one microneedling treatment every four weeks for two years. To this day it's hard for me to talk about my skin. I am sharing this hoping that it will be helpful to anyone who has been struggling with facial scars because I know how they can affect our lives.

Thanks for the video, the results here are very good already! But as I know it the 0.5 dermaroller can be used every 2 days and not once a week. It would definitely make a difference for the healing process when you shorten the intervals and use the right serum for your skin (retinol, hyaluronic or vitamin c serum). After cleansing your skin first apply serum on your face then dermaroll your face. The needles will work the serum deeper into the skin and enable deep regeneration of the skin. Also apply serum again directly after dermarolling as the pores will be open for the first 15-20 seconds after needling. I can also recommend to use a photon mask with blue and red light to kill bacteria (blue light) and help rejuvenation (red light) of the skin. It's a much softer but effective method.

First and foremost you’re really pretty and your skin looks so healthy it’s glowing. I’ve struggled with my pitted boxcar scars and it’s awful. Tried dermarolling but I think it works better on rolling scars. The only difference I noticed is that the day after my rolling sessions is that my scars would appear diminished the next day because of the swelling and once that subsided 2-3 days it basically looked the same. So while I believe this technique works really well for rolling scars, it doesn’t do much for boxcar scars which is in part caused by tissue loss from cystic acne.
@ThatGirlwiththeCurls3 жыл бұрын
Aw, that's really sweet. Thank you!! 😊 I'm honestly not sure what type of scars mine are. I don't think they're ice pick. Maybe boxcar? hi! a couple things: you shouldn‘t go above 0.5 in the face as a non-professional (0.75 is fine for body scars like stretch marks but even on the body you shouldn‘t go above that). you also shouldn‘t rub alcohol over your face, that just dries up your skin. instead use a good hydrogenic acid or vitamin c serum. i can see big improvements from your before/after shots - keep going, it‘s clearly working!

And don't forget to use SPF 60 sunscreen. And try to stay away from sunlight as much as possible. And remember drink lots of water. And green tea for healthy skin. I used no other beauty products or makeup on my skin. Since ,I was in home, I didn't had to worry about flaky skin. Use gentle gel based cleanser, and exfoliator to get rid of dead skin. And you will be amazed to see the reasult. And use dermaroller with gentle pressure , I used it to the point I just didn't bleed.😂😂 I have tough skin lol. So, use it, and I used more than 7 rolls on each side. I used it for like 10 rolls on each side.

I inadvertently started building up collagen in the early '90s when I started using vitamin C and vitamin A. I have been doing so since then and at 49 whatever scarring I have is not noticeable. In addition, I have virtually no fine lines. My undereye area is really the only thing that hints at my age and I hit that with adapalene and retinol, one or the other every day. Adapalene is that stuff in Differin but I use it for anti-aging since I haven't had acne since I was in my early 20s. I want to add that you have GORGEOUS hair!! Those are literally my dream curs. I have very lazy spirally waves but I want ringlets like that.
@ThatGirlwiththeCurls Жыл бұрын
That's awesome that you have no fine lines at that age! I might look into those sometime! And thank you! It's definitely a struggle to keep the ringlets throughout the day. They usually end up also becoming lazy spirally waves by the time I go to bed. 😅

I’ve done it a couple times. Your face gets a little swollen making the scars seem like they improved quickly, but after your face isn’t swollen anymore you can see them once again. It does work but very slowly. Don’t confuse the progress with swollen face or you’ll get discouraged. Im going to keep doing it because I did notice a change in about 5 times I did it. My face was bleeding a little bit but it’s normal. If you do it so softly how she did you won’t get much results.
@jasminen71893 жыл бұрын
agree. I am doing with 1 mm dermaroller. When it's swollen, I feel like it did make a noticeable result right after that. Have you stopped dermarolling after 5 times? And has the result maintained or did your skin come back to previous state?

Just wanna say you're really beautiful and for me at least I'm attracted to women with some scarring. I had a long struggle with acne myself and have some significant scars, so it makes me feel more comfortable and gives some mutual understanding of the internal struggles that can be associated with that. So keep trying to be the most happy and confident version of yourself, but keep in mind that whatever happens there will be people who love your little marks because they show that you persevered. Each one shows your strength. Strength of character is the most important thing, more important than perfect skin

Aw, that's really sweet. I agree with you 100%! When people tell me they want to do something about their skin condition to please others, it makes me sad and I tell them to only do it if THEY want to. Not for others. Thank you so much for sharing such a powerful message! 😁🤗

I salute your courage and honesty! Only professional work can help, and even then, the scars will never disappear. The only thing we can do is reach a point in which we are comfortable with our appearance.

keep going, you must give it more time to heal in between. More than .5 eventually, possibly professionally...I understand there is so much mixed info out there. Give it 1.5 months, than again, and so on...I would also urge you to try cocoa, shea, LAVENDAR essential oils, and other eo's that are capable of cell regeneration. Lavendar can heal burns ( I had 3rd degree ) & scarring. & remember always use a carrier oil. Yours are deeper, and they will take time but I believe you can heal alot of your scarring. Just stick with it for a long time. Maybe 1-2 years. I feel even with a 1mm that less use is more, we need to give our skin time to heal. Stay hydrated, and try wheatgrass juice inside, and the pulp outside. & remember just keep trying different natural healers after rolling because what works for one may not work for another so don't get discouraged. You got this. 🙂
@amenRAamen3 жыл бұрын
Lavender oils? That won't do your face any favor. Essential oils on the face is super bad for your skin.

I don’t know about anyone else but I see a really big difference. There are spots that are gone and they aren’t as deep. I’m seriously thinking of doing this myself. I also think if you were to keep going the scars would disappear over time and think it would be worth it. You do have beautiful skin. I myself think you are no older than 21-24... if. That’s how wonderful your skin is. I would have said younger but didn’t want to be rude to tell you, you look like a teenager and what the hell are you doing to your beautiful skin! Do have a great day. Take care and stay safe. Cheers!😊🇨🇦

I was kinda puzzled when you were disappointed with the results. Perhaps because you didn’t see the side by side at the moment of filming. But as a viewer, I could see a remarkable improvement on your skin texture. Hopefully it is a permanent result. I suffered from a really aggressive form of acne. It left very deep scars on my skin. I try to forget about it and go on with my life, but sometimes it’s tough. One thing you nailed down that took me years to understand is confidence. I love how confident and secure you come across on your video. It makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE On how we perceive you. Thank you so very much for doing this. Have read a bit about Dermaroller and watched some videos from private people to doctors and they always said to start with 0.25 mm for face and you can later go up to 0.5 mm. But 0.75 mm and more is for the body, as they can actually harm you face skin. Cant use Dermaroller yet as i still have too much Akne, but its getting better over the last months. So, still patiently waiting And watching the video gives me the determination to really use it. There is such improvement with your skin, it makes one happy to see. I hope these past years really helped you and you feel much more comfortable with your face :)
