The absolute greatest vacuum I have ever bought. Once the height is adjusted perfectly it glides and actually helps pull itself across the floor. Live in NW NM and dust storms have been a big problem and this has been an absolute workhorse. My toddlers favorite toy too he loves “helping” with it. Easy to unclog and maintain. Great machine so far

I just bought one of these versions, though mine is a few years older. From my experience, these are good for the price. For how long these Hoovers can last, I think they are the best affordable bagless option nowadays. They are quite easy to service as well and they often have very similar motors to what can be found in much more expensive units such as Riccars and Simplicitys; much beefier than what can be found in a Bissell or Dirt Devil, for example. I do know of a couple common failure points, though. Over time, the clips that hold the wands and hose like to break as well as the axle mounts for the back wheels. For the price, it is not a huge deal, but definitely something to expect. Another one is that the belt release design is rough on belts especially when the unit is used on thicker carpets. Again, not a huge deal for me. Overall, I really like these machines.

Man I miss the old days back when vacuum cleaners where actually good that's why I prefer to use old vacuums rather than using new ones that's just my opinion

I think the suction motor is driving the brush bristles hence the change in pitch when the unit is reclined.

My unit is half way through the warranty period and completely worn out. The hinge on the dust cup broke after a few weeks use. The rubber abound the on/off switch started disintegrating after a short time. Then the handle broke right at the on/off button. I went out yesterday and picked up the same sweeper. Even with it's issues, it's still the best upright vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I have multiple dogs. one is a Newfie and she sheds a lot 24/7. If you have dogs, this is the one you want.

This is the Dyson for people who don’t want to pay for a Dyson. I have an older blue one that’s a top of the line model with the headlight and the floor/hose diverter thing. It’s my favorite bagless upright and I’ve been using it as my daily driver. It’s probably the best bagless upright under $200. Hoover still sell it but they’ve really neutered it. No headlight, no diverter (which is probably for the better honestly), and worst of all no brush roll shut off. And I believe they’ve shortened the cord to 30ft rather than 40.

My dyson cinetic big ball animal actually has too much suction that when the turbo brush is attached it fights me trying to pull it.

dude .... what vacuum will get under the chair/couch/cabinets you've got ??? and if you will lean down the vacuum will certainly get much lower than you portrayed and will get under stuff much lower than your coffee table . you shared some good points and i appreciate that . but you got kinda lazy and criticized the vacuumed for things that i don't thing many if any other upright vacuum will do . take care , jeff .

Plenty of machines can get underneath that chair and those cabinets, including the Fantom fury and several bissell vacuums. And this machine unfortunately will not go lower than what I showed, you could see when I lowered the handle further the base lifted off the floor. The majority of Vacuums can go low enough to get under my coffee table, including other hoovers. It's just a flaw with this machine given how large the cyclone assembly is.

3:00 that is why I started watching the video...I need to figure out how to unscrew the top area "under" that top filter. It has a lock and unlock position, but I am unable to twist it at all. Please help and demonstrate how to do that? Thanks

Can you buy a longer hose attachment? The one that comes with it makes my back hurt because of bending over and hard to vacuum in corners and under the bed.

Bought a new Hoover it is 5 months old it is the biggest piece of junk I've ever seen canister broke within 2 months bought a new one now the piece on the bottom that holds the small wheels on broke cannot get parts do the garbage man got the whole piece of junk went out and bought a Dirt Devil best vacuum cleaner ever made your far as I'm concerned

You realize Hoover and Dirt Devil are the same company, right? Nevertheless, hopefully you get more life out of your dirt devil. If that dies, I'd recommend a Bissell PowerForce instead, ideally the commercial version
