One advantage I’ve found that skeleton martial artists get over other races, is that they don’t hurt themselves when their attacks get blocked.

Had similar thought, but in my mind, Girth was some kind of World-Wide level threat. Some big bad guy that did a lot of bad and was about to do more bad, but his plans were stopped by many factions working together in difficult times. So he ended up like in the most fucked up state anyone could think of (cuz u know, debt, hate from everyone, no limbs, in canibal's place). I can even think how it all happened. After him being defeated, people just go and ravage his body, some just kicking, spitting, others detaching his parts. Someone just taking his leftover as a souvenir, then selling it to someone, then leaving it somewhere, then canibals just took it for fun. And then, after so much time, he just reactivates, and with his will to survive he just goes. Factions seeing him alive, detached barely moving, just wants to have fun humiliating him even more, not realizing that he was about to make changes.

I know you probably already know by now but, NPC's no matter what will despawn if the area they're in isn't loaded, unless they're on a pole / in a cage of course, to prevent this, keep a second character near your prisoner and he'll not despawn.

Imagine you are running a travel store in a well protected city located in some hellish post apocalypse desert. After a long day of selling maps and trading backpacks. Some robot sprints in, doesn't even look at your wares, just goes straight to stealing shit. And, like a metallic roadrunner, he sprints off into the horizon. Avoiding his pursuers at mach 5. I'd give up and shut the store down for good. You're not gonna be making any money with a menace like that on the loose.

using water for a defense works best if you put it in front of the gate. that way enemies have to swim to the gate before picking the lock. then you put walls going back in front of the gate along the water so they get shot while swimming and lockpicking. instead of just getting right up to the base and lockpicking.

Something to keep in mind if gou get this game, the number of constant raids after raids after raids when you try to setup a base is in fact, normal. It wasn't caused by the challenge start but is just the default difficulty level of this game.

My headcannon for why Girth is in his predicament, is that he was a bandit leader, of some infamy and power. Managed to piss off the major factions enough that they made a temporary alliance. And stomped his faction while girth was away getting drunk and gambling all his sizable fortunes away. Got back home, realized how fucked he was as all his funds were taken while he was gone. Said fuck that I’M not dealing with this shit and factory reset himself. Unaware that a few of his men were nearby, while stole his limbs to sell off. And so OUR Girth woke up limbless with nothing but a small internal note telling him his name and his situation. But none of the why or how it came about. Maybe his past self hoped that because Girth was a new person the factions and people of Kenshi would forgive the debts he had accrued, forgetting that literally everyone hated his guts. Current Girth has no clue what his past self thought but he has to deal with the consequences one way or another. Mostly because current Girth is still too “Young” to safely pull the same thing old Girth did and factory reset himself to get out of having to deal with the situation.

Here is a challenge I don't think I've seen done before: How many factions can you befriend in Kenshi? i.e Dust and Hungry Bandits: avoid fighting hostile groups, speak to groups that demand food/money and give it to them, slowly improving relations.

by default, you DON'T gain any relations by paying taxes / tribute / prayer days. much better to run out and give the ghost town for a day or two even if you intend to ally the locals because once they're allies, that event stops firing

I find torso runs to be a slow start but the easiest. you get a huge stealth bonus for sneaking as a torso and since your crawling your speed is the same sneak or not. Every torso run I've done where i managed to survive the first couple days has resulted in some of my strongest runs over all. Still fun videos to watch :)

When you fight bugmaster, always fight him with a wakasashi small sword, it has high bonus indoors and attack speed against his slow sabre. Multiple characters with wakas and high dexterity stats can constantly stun him without him ever attacking.
