So of late, the fire has really been lit again in regards to the old girl. I'm reminded by the Lord of my path and I'm obediently working towards getting back on track fully.
A friend of mine often asks of all the trucks I've driven, which was my favorite. To answer it humbly, I have to say there was something special about each of the three I was blessed to own. Though there have been some truly nice trucks that I have operated over the years for other haulers, I just have an indescribable feeling of gratitude for my trucks, which can't be compared to any other throughout my career.
Each one represents a time period of my life and career. The Crane Carrier/Dempster XHD-II; M-001 was the first front loader I ever saw as a kid growing up in Southwest Atlanta. I still remember riding alongside of them on my bike as they serviced my apartment complex on Cleveland Ave.
I actually received a duplicate quote from my favorite salesman at Heil South, (Dan Margeli), for Covington's 2604 in 2003. I spent countless hours at Heil South and on the phone with Dan back then. I would go on to film 2604 years later and had no idea God would bless me to own it as my second truck.
M-003 was just as special, being that it was amongst one of the last that Mr. Billy Whitesell at Mayo Company would sell before his passing. Billy was a great guy and the first salesman I would come to know when I first wanted to create a hauling service back in 2002. He sent me several old brochures and a quote for a Hercules FEL in 2003 as well.
It's amazing to me how Jesus would bless me with my heart's desires to those lengths, each time. I can only imagine what M-004 will be, maybe a nice new Amrep or McNeilus.😇😇😇
Remember, with goals/dreams, if God put it in your imagination, it's for you to do. With Him, all things are possible! Happy New Year everyone!
