I didnt have a Mr. Potato Head, but I had a friend who owned one. I was happy and done after about 1 hour with it. Romper Room rocked, by the way!

I had a Mr Potato head and Katie Carrot. A harsh winter arrived & my family ate them to survive. Sure I could put the eyes & lips on new vegetables but it wouldn't be the same.

In the late 60s my brother and I got Potato Head, but to avoid a battle between the two of us my mom got me a Katie Carrot because I guess Gemco didn't have any other boy Potato Head characters! Haha! Actually in the early 70s there was a commercial for Potato Fish and Bird with a great earworm of a tune to go with it!

Those Mr. Potatohead sidekicks were pretty dumb, but it's not as bad as taking the Mr. off Potatohead to be more politically correct. Remember that crap? The boy the Potato fish box looked confused. :) haha The only one I ever had was Darth Tater. I finally sold that a couple years ago. :) Thanks for the video
