I have never done that yet, thank you for teaching us to do that. I was kinda thinking about it but have not come up with an idea of how to utilize it in my videos. It's very good to know for future plans. Thank you for your time.

Thank You For This Video @ThatModernDude But How Do You Make The Earth Do A Full 360 Turn?

Hi, great stuff here! BUT, can't get the map to wrap around the sphere completely. Trying to research it now. Is there a ready to go solution? guide? Best dimensions? Got mine from NASA
@ThatModernDude3 жыл бұрын
Bizarre, if you grabbed it from nasa then it should just wrap perfectly!
@faddlewaddle26153 жыл бұрын
Craziest thing. Not knowing that the sphere would map anything to its surface, I kept resizing the image (which was already at 2:1 ratio) and resaving. Same problem. Finally solved it by copying the image onto a brand new file, renaming and saving. That worked. :-)

Thank you for this tutorial! Could you show us how to zoom in to a particular country as well?
@Syra1913 жыл бұрын
Maybe with the 3d camera you could do a zoom. 🤔

^Hej i have a question what Mac do you use for Davinci ?

the screen blend mode for the second 3d sphere with the clouds mapped to it doesn't seem to work for me. am i missing some presetting that is required? the node graph is exactly the same as in your example.
@ThatModernDude3 жыл бұрын
No not at all. Try playing around with them, or make sure that sphere is larger than the other one

@@ThatModernDude thanks for the reply! i rebuilt the whole thing from scratch and now it works like it should, shown in your video. still in the first attempt, it wont merge the colors as expected. i'll try to reverse engineer the first attempt to get down to the problem - very strage since i can't figure what exactly is the difference of the two, must be some invalid option enabled in an inspector somewhere or straight out a bug. anyway it wokrs for me in the secod attempt, so problem solved. Your Video was very helpful, thanks a lot.
