Saw Dark Knight the day it opened. Best comic book movie ever. I always thought if the movie ended when Eckhart turns his head and is revealed to be Two Face the movie would have been perfect. Still, it clips along nicely for the runtime. Top 10 or 20 movie on my all time list.

Man, I wish we could’ve heard Ebert’s take.

The dark knight should’ve been the first comic book movie to win the Oscar for best picture.

Both Dark Knight and Hellboy were great to see on opening weekend.

It's amazing that Eddie Murphy got so many weird projects like Meet Dave greenlit, especially far after his prime and after massive bombs like The Adventures of Pluto Nash.

Meet Dave is a bit more fair Eddie Murphy and Brian Robbins collaboration compared to Norbit. Meet Dave makes Good Boy! with Liam Aiken and Matthew Broderick look like an extended TV sitcom like The Office and Evan Almighty whereas Norbit makes Good Luck Chuck look like Little Man and a Looney Tunes short

Worst thing is that Meet Dave started with a story from MST3K's Bill Corbett, which got progressively worse through rewrites until the final version had no connection whatsoever to Corbett's story. There's a good idea in the concept, but the movie is abysmal.

I don't mean to be rude, but Maggie, while a better actress than Katie Holmes is completely unbelievable in the role. We're to believe that the DA, and also the richest man in this massive city, are both obsessed with someone who is the "cute friend" level of attractiveness? Always found that distracting.

The Summer of 2008 was a slightly nostalgic year of movies compared to 2007

Fraser was a pudgy, soft, effeminate "action star". Batman had to kill his career in 08. Good.

It's weird... 2007 was the year of the "mostly disappointing threequels"... _Spider-Man 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Rush Hour 3, Shrek 3,_ etc. All were kinda mediocre compared to what came before. But 2008 was kind of the year of the "even better second-films"... _The Dark Knight, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Harold & Kumar 2, Chronicles of Narnia 2..._ all arguably better than the originals.

Can you believe Juno was nominated for Best picture in 2008 and Dark Knight was not… that’s really why Will Smith slapped Chris Rock… Frost/Nixon , Benjamin Button, Milk… Milk???, all nominated around that time and no one cares about them anymore
