Man - you said all the right things ✅…. I literally just bought a 2021 street bob. Picking it up this week. Never test rode it, don’t think I needed too. Been riding Italian bikes for more years than I care to admit or discuss 😆 ( Ducati’s mostly, with a few Aprillia’s, an MV, and a few Triumphs thrown in for good measure 🤷🏻♂️ ) . Harley got me 3 ways with this bike…. I’m rite around your size ( 5’7 ), and I hate forward controls in ways I can’t even start on this comment. Coming from bikes that are always set in an aggressive riding position, mid controls are the ONLY way I could make the transition to a cruiser. It’s definitely a way more COMFORTABLE ( wow - what would THAT be like 🤔❔ ) riding position, without giving up the control you have riding at speed. That’s my next thing - they put the 114 in a Softail frame 🤘…. I’ve ridden Harley’s before. THAT Motor in THAT frame❔❔❔ This bike has GOT to be a F**kin Animal 😈…. I CANNOT be wrong 🤷🏻♂️. Last - it’s a Street Bob . I love that Bike. Clean and Mean. Great post man - you reiterated everything I was thinking. Thanks Brother- keep the rubber side down 👊🏻

Apprecaite the kind words. I try to hit on the things that are important to me when I do these videos hoping it strikes a chord with my viewers. I think you nailed it with the "Clean and Mean" on the Street Bob. I'm digging the paint and color options on the 21's.

I'm 5,10'. I shifted from forwards to mids. I find it better now between the seat, bars and pegs. Great control in the standard position. Feels like a performance power cruiser ready to take on the turns. Better low speed control/handling/turning and I can now stand myself onto the pegs, stretch or take a large bump in the road without jarring the sacroiliac joint. 🙂 Long term better for your spine I'd say.

Great points and good to know you can still move those controls back if you need to.

I had the same thought about tall riders - if you get a rider over 6' on that bike, it might feel pinched without doing some modifications. Even my hips felt kind of awkward (tight) in stock configuration and we're pretty evenly matched, height wise. Great review! That laugh when you got on the throttle 😆👍

I think a lot of the new colours are dull but the Street Bob in either the Blue or Baja Orange are bright and beautiful, it’s a Harley for Gods sake and it should stand out from the crowd and colours help

I really like the bold colors on the Street Bob. The Breakout has some colors too, but yeah, most models don't have a whole lot of options.

Nooooo not a wind shield. Enjoy the experience of a motorbike. Just my thoughts.

I think if you can stand the buffeting and you're riding for long distances a shield can be helpful. But, IMO, I just can't do it.

Street Bob is an extremely expensive alternative for the trusty Sportster. Think what bike you can get with 16.000 euro outside Harkey and Indian territory.

Service intervals and cost? It looks like HD has gone to 1,000, 10,000, and 20,000 mile intervals and dropped the 500 mile break-in service. My dealer is still doing the 500 mile break-in oil change and adjustments @ $225.00 and recommends 3,000 mile oil changes and 6,000 miles for tires. FortNine did a video "Which Motorcycle Manufacturer is Best? [Laboratory Test]" and based on his review new Harley's should have an oil change on day one before leaving the dealer. One of the issues with motorcycles and especially Harley's is all the after sale costs of ownership and that includes service, insurance, and depreciation over actual usage. These are expensive toys and I would not recommend paying over $10k for a new first bike and in reality Harley has nothing to offer the first time bike buyer.
@thatoneguymoto3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more with what you're saying, but the number one question I get on my Harley test ride videos is "would this be a good first bike", so I try to address that with all of them. I bought my first bike for $1400, with the understanding that it was going to hit the ground (and it did). I think buying a new motorcycle as a first bike is unwise, but I can't tell people what to do with their $$$. And, if they're going to do it, I'd like to give them my impressions. 🤓

Nice review! You should check out the badass helmets, they are the lightest, nice strap connector for easy on off and doesn't feel like you're even wearing one. I've got one and highly recommend adjusting that shock because the dealer don't and it can make a HUGE difference in your ride. I got the orange on black and added a nice Bung King crash bar, replaced the stock slip on mufflers with vance and shines eliminator 300's, swapped the seat for a Saddlemen Explorer LS, replaced the blinkers and brake lights with the LED 2 color which is sharp, I do a lot of engine braking so installing next a gyroscopic brake light activator which should be stock on every bike IMO, did a lot of other things but next up is a removable windshield for sure, riding on the highway especially for any distance can be draining and hard to ride at higher speeds. Oh definitely have to adjust the rear brake pedal. kzbin.info/aero/PLWCLu949a4SfJf05Q2Tzcnk6jnyDSzWmM

It's got to be the smallest and cheapest digital dash available for a motorcycle. That paint job is $400 and ABS is $795. This motorcycle would be the one I would buy if I could get it with quality components, modern engine and modern suspension. Right now it's just not enough motorcycle for $15k. 7:13 Torque is misspelled 14:00 45 MPH? Why is the limit so low? It's a straight road.
@thatoneguymoto3 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree that it is not enough bike for the price. My bad on the misspelling, nothing I can do about that after it's been published. And not sure why the 45 mph.
@YIRMASTER3 жыл бұрын
I managed to negotiate $1,000 off unheard of at a harley dealer but it is still expensive seeing that you need to do a lot of mods but thus is the nature of the bob.
@MrFaciolito3 жыл бұрын
Nice bike, in Germany the Street Bob has ABS, you can not get it without. It is a EU Norm. At the moment I am in Spain, in Gerrmany we have a total lockdown. When I am back I will buy this bice, if I can get one. HD gives every Dealer only the same than last year and they can not order more. When they are sold, you have to wait a year. Good for the Indian Chif Bobber, but not for Harley.
@thatoneguymoto3 жыл бұрын
Wow, I did not know that about German Dealers. Hope you lockdown ends soon and you can get out there! 🤞🏽🤓

Hey that one guy, great video presentation! You answered all my questions for that model-and it's lesser twin, the Softail standard! I'm 5'8" and 285. I'll be considering this model right quick. The foot levers would be "mids", seat would get upgraded, a windshield to have put on, engine guards( the 3.5 gallon fuel tank I can put up with-wouldn't have to size up to a 5 gallon size real soon). Keep up the great work and you'll find that your content delivery will flow even better! I'm rooting for you one guy! 👍❤️😇🏍️⭐⭐⭐Dpug
