Life too short for long KZbin videos? Please see the ‘Interesting bits and go-to sections’ information below.
In this episode we are delighted to welcome back Joey Landreth - songwriter supreme, guitarist extraordinaire and human being of tremendous awesomeness. Joey first appeared on the show back in February 2017 - • That Pedal Show - Joey... - when we were introduced to his unique and utterly compelling style. He returned later that year to blow our minds with a show on harmonic tremolo - • That Pedal Show - Harm... - and again in August 2018 with the wonderful Kirk Fletcher - • Joey Landreth & Kirk F...
Why do we keep inviting Joey back? Simples: we are beyond proud to call him our friend and we love hanging out. We also think his insight, musicianship and all-round Canadianness is a good thing for the world, so we want to share it as much as possible.
In this show, Joey had just finished the European leg of his Hindsight tour, in support of his 2019 album release, Hindsight. Please go and buy it somewhere and/or go see him live!
For more on Joey, including upcoming tour dates please visit his site www.joeylandret...
Enjoy the episode. And all the cape capers.

Joey’s guitar is next level. Great job and kudos for using P90s in a LP style guitar, a heavenly combo for sure. Amazed that they aren’t more popular/common than they are. Would love to check out more of your guitars, especially a double cut LP Jr style if one is in your line up.

Wow...just wow. VCQ question. Connecting Joey's comments about staying inspired to Mick's vlog comments a while bad about mild depression, maybe you guys could both in the VCQ offer your own thoughts about how you find ways to stay encouraged to play. I struggle with this a lot as I feel so limited by my abilities and time. Would love even just a quick thought... looper pedal has helped me tremendously. So do episodes like this. Also, for anyone who thinks a musician should not get tired or discouraged, at some point you probably thought you could not get tired of things that make you tired now too... I appreciated Joey's candor there. Thanks guys.

From the awesome way Joey uses his pedals, to his truly inspiring playing, from the Grolsh-like strap lock to the bit Mick mentioned about being in the industry, touring, doing your own merch (would love to see a show on that, or at least hear your guests talk about it). You guys have a relationship with Joey that really makes the video feel good and no doubt could have turned into a 3-5 hour video! Really great stuff and no doubt I'll come back to watch this video again a few times more. Also good to see Joey using a CountTo5 and seeing how he used it/how it inspired him - I've owned this pedal for a few years now and love it, but don't get around to using it much these days. Brilliant episode, thank you.

I had no idea Sean William Scott could play guitar so well! In all seriousness, another amazing show, just off the charts. Every time Joey is here just raises the bar.

Man, I love being able to turn on your channel, and just feel at home. You guys are like good friends and fellow gear nerds, and it is awesome to be hanging with you and Joey on a Monday morning before work.

I’m a violinist who uses the Count To 5 and Thermae on my board... seeing Joey whip out the e-bow made my day! Really cool use of the Thermae’s LPF to cut off the sound. Awesome!

Montreal Assembly is amazing. The Count to 5 is mind bending in its level of depth that is not visible by looking at it. Scott is an incredibly smart and creative builder/designer. Really cool and a bit of a left curve to see one on Joey’s board.

Ok so, I’m impressed something I’ve noticed and I think is one of the greatest things ever. Each of you guys are wearing your wedding bands. I have a lot of respect for that. Some of the guys in this world with the position that y’all are in would ditch the ring but you guys have stayed faithful even with the fame and all. BRAVO!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
