Let it marinate overnight. And let the chicken get some actual color on it before adding all the liquid into the pan. It’s never going to get brown or crispy that way. Color = flavor. And be careful not to let the marinade burn in the pan, because there’s a ton of sugar in that soda, and if it gets too hot for too long, and the water starts to evaporate, it’s essentially going to turn into caramel, and that pan will be a nightmare to wash.

Be careful serving this to someone with a seafood allergy. The oyster sauce could set off the allergic reaction.
@marleyhill342 ай бұрын
It depends on the oyster sauce and how strong their allergy is. Some modern Oyster sauces have little (0.3%) to no seafood in them. Before you cook for other people, always ask about allergies and then read the labels of everything you buy to cook with to understand possible allergies. For example, some things don't contain nuts but are made in a factory that also processes nuts. It ( speck of nut dust) could still be fatal for someone with a severe allergy.

What’s your marinade
@nayd.2 ай бұрын
@@ashleymathieu8520 I dunno about their recipe, but mine requires placing marinated meat in refrigerator overnight. My recipe: ●Rinse your chicken beef or pork (I believe in washing off debris from the slaughterhouse) drain off excess water. ● In a large bowl add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice ● 2 tablespoons of vinegar ● 1 teaspoon of sugar ● 1 tablespoon of garlic powder ● 1 tablespoon of Black pepper ● 1 teaspoon of curry powder ● 1 teaspoon of Lawry's seasoning salt ● 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped garlic ● 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper ● 1 teaspoon of dried parsley ● 2 tablespoons of granulated chicken boullion ● 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning ● Make sure your meat is fully coated with marinade ●Cover then place in an airtight bowl overnight in refrigerator ● Take bowl out of refrigerator agitate/mix up meat and marinade just to make sure all sides are coated, because it will tend to settle on one side overnight ●Let meat sit in bowl for 30min so it's not stark cold before cooking. ● You can choose how you want to cook meat from there ● You can take marinated meat straight into dredge with flour then drop straight into hot oil until golden brown ● You can bake or grill ●You can place oil (canola is my recommendation, it has a high frying temperature & won't smoke) and fry directly in a pan on the stove top until all sides are brown & cooked fully ●Or lastly you can make a red sauce: cook meat on stove top in pan with oil, add in a cup of tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water & 2 teaspoons of butter, 1 teaspoon of tomato paste & 2 teaspoons of ketchup. Cook until sauce thickens. ☆Shortcut is to add 2 cups of spaghetti sauce, butter, ketchup and cook down if you don't have tomato sauce or paste. Enjoy over white or yellow rice!! I been cooking since I was 7yrs old. I'm 41 now. My background is Nigerian & Guyanese. I can cook literally anything! This is a recipe I can cook with my eyes closed! Hope you like it! 👍🏾 ❤

If u marinade overnight, the marinade will penetrate to the bone. The meat color will be a reddish brown, not white, the sauces penetrating thru-out. Tastes even better. The marinade should hv no water, only sauces, not diluting the infusion. Marinade in ziplock bag to save space, and prevent evaporation. Add suitable amount of water only after the sauté-sealing process to the braising process. Sauté with lavish amount of green onion & ginger to remove the gamey taste.

No point having to remove liquid, you can just reduce and let it be so it can tenderize and caramelize better once the excess water content is reduced. However, this recipe is better grilled over charcoal fire cause it will wake up those oyster sauce notes
