You made that look easy Andy. It's not easy getting a closer either side. Especially if the old perps are wandering. The best thing for cutting out or toothing is a Footprint 14" long handle scutch. About £22 but you will thank me later. Ask Santa for one.

Have you seen stu crompton,s new trowels that he’s selling Andy . Got gauge marks etched into it .
@bricklayersworldwithandy627710 ай бұрын
Yes, the trowel looks OK for £40 buth i dont really see the point in the gauge marks. It all stands him in 60k.
@brickbybric10 ай бұрын
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 looks like a decent trowel, nice handle , possibly made in Europe , looks a lot like the Faithfull prestige trowels with the blue soft grip handle .the forging around the frog ( as the yanks call it) is your best chance of identifying what company made it ,if its European made. The only thing setting it apart from other trowels is the gauge marks the eagle on it is just window dressing . Other than that it’s just another generic trowel in an already saturated market . If people don’t buy in to the gauge mark idea he has probably blown his 60 grand .

@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 i doubt it Andy . Someone asked the question why footprint don’t make trowels on the bricklayers tv review video of the Kokoro trowels ,and the chap that runs the super trowel competition replied that as far as he knows the machinery to make trowels is nowhere to be found in the uk. Bellota , ab tokos ( makers of the Bon keystone trowel) battiffero di manigo all make trowels for other companies and they’ll brand them up what ever way you want them . I think in the case of the Bon trowels ab tokos make the trowels and Bon are sourcing the handles and installing themselves . Handles could be Chinese.
