It does happen however narcissism is more dominant in men than it is Women. The numbers for female narcissists are growing. However, girls are not usually raised to avoid emotions. In the same way that men are. Young boys are more often emotionally Dismissed And ridiculed for having emotions, Treated as though they are weak for having them. All I gotta say is I was scared to make a move with the debt, with the thoughts of what it would do to my family with the change. However that debt and those changes will also be there when she up and decides it's over. Just a matter of if your willing to make the changes for yourself or let life decide for you. I chose the latter and got tortured far longer then ever should have been allowed. Take care of yourself and do what's best for you and yours ! Much love

The power of Dopamine, people. Alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping, porn, etc etc, alot of addictions so many of us struggle with daily. But it doesn't seem to be recognized that being addicted to a PERSON - the feelings you got, the love you shared - is a very real thing. And when it turns, it's too late and we end up "chasing the dragon", desperate for anything resembling what we had together at the beginning, the feelings of invincibility they gave us before slowly and maniacally taking it away from us. Then they have the power while we feen until we're destroyed. But where I do disagree with this powerful song is where it we can choose to not be damaged for the rest of our lives. If we learn from it and CHOOSE to do what it takes to get healthy, like any addiction, we can get and stay free. Be strong, good people. (One Luv!)

That's the weird thing. When I was younger I did remove some abusive guys from certain women's lives. Oddly enough they all found someone as or more abusive. The only thing that ever worked was when she herself decided to avoid that sort of man. Even many of my male friends keep having the same relationships with various, for lack of a better term, abusive women. I don't really get it, I have had that strong lust/attraction to crazy women myself, but it doesn't last, and even in the moment I always knew that she could only ever be a temporary part of my life...

No doubt this is how my life has been the past 4 years and finally broke away. And as someone else commented it is extremely personal to me as well, especially the fact for the past 2 years I’ve been fighting a DV case that I literally didn’t touch her and she was the one who bailed me out of jail and then turned around and held it over my head for 2 years till I just couldn’t take going to court and ended up just taking a deal so she couldn’t use it against me no more. These lyrics sent chills up my spine with flash backs of the endless nightmare I endured years ago. Constantly trying to suppress these horrid memories with the mother of my child. Not wanting to be a deadbeat father or the parent that threw in the towel disregarding the family and relationship. You feel trapped and as a man you have no real outlet to seek guidance. I am happy to see people are speaking up and can relate with similar stories. Still currently picking up the pieces of my shattered soul. I come to terms it’s ok to be alone. Even after 4 years going on 5. I still haven’t dated a women and have not seen my son since he was taken across the country by his mother in a blink of an eye with no hesitation, remorse, or acknowledgment. Sure since then I’ve tried to have some fun here and there, but still have zero interest in a relationships and most definitely not marriage this day in age.

This one left me in tears. No one can truly understand the different levels of suffering and surviving a narcissist, unless they've been through it themselves. My late husband didn't show his true self until after we were married. The mental, emotional, physical abuse takes a heavy toll on the family, not just the spouse. He died in a cop chase 3 years ago and my children still run and hide if they hear a knock on the door. I threw myself into warehouse work after his death. Head messed up and not wanting to have to talk to people. I got a spinal injury and can't have the surgery. Which, it seems, my spine got weak from all those pushes down the stairs. I'm a widow, a mother of four, and three of them have special needs. Because everything he ever said and did was a lie, I'm not certain who he really was and couod not get any help. I didn't turn to drugs or alcohol. I won't even take my medication. All the darkness comes and goes, but somehow, he broke me, but couldn't change me. I still believe in fairy tales and that there is a good man out there for me. I can't live thinking that is how marriage is supposed to be or let my children think ill of it, either. No human can take my Hope away. Thank you so much for letting me know there are more people out there who truly understand and refuse to give-up. He had threatenedto do things to my family if I took the kids and ran. That's the only reason I stayed. I had stopped singing for years because of him. My soul needs to sing to heal. I've recently started to again, yet i don't recognize my own voice. My chiropractor said the voice box is a muscle, so if I can sing daily, my voice may come back. Thank God for giving us our freedom and peace back. We're struggling so bad, but we can laugh and breathe again. Again, thank you Dax for lifting some burden off my chest. You truly are a God-send. ❤
