Miley originally started out doing pop but has also always had that country/rock touch to her voice. but ever since her vocal surgery in 2019, she has started doing more rock as it fits more with her current voice (more dark tone, powerful voice, effortless low notes, RASP) and plus, rock is something that she’s always loved. you should check out “Miley Cyrus - Maybe (ACL Festival 2021)” her voice is insane and she’s definitely one of the best vocalists of this generation for sure! she sung down!

I think this was her last performance before throat surgery. From my understanding, she has used her voice since she was a child and wasn't taught how to breathe and use her vocals right and was blowing out her voice. Me personally I didn't follow her when she was Montana and didn't follow her until sliding ball. I love her voice now
