I'm a professional singer and have done many Steve Perry covers. His tonal quality, pitch and vocal enunciation are perfect. "The Voice" is far and away the best singer of all time in my opinion. Try to sing one of his songs the way he does and you will realize how flawless his technique is. You wind up just hoping you did his song justice. One thing is for sure...you will never improve on his vocals. They are simply outstanding.

While im no stranger to Journey, i have never seen this performance...as always goosebumps with them. Awesome to see this for MY 1st time in a awesome reaction. I have watched many Journey reactions but never seen anybody do this one. Just epic! Steve Perry is my older sisters love! Grateful to have been exposed to them as a child from her ans thankful he still around and has done new music not to along ago. So grateful to be alive at same time as him. if you especially like the soulful solo stuff of him, then you should listen to "If only for a moment, girl". Steve can also play drums. You can tell by his singing. He sings so percussive, the song is full of syncopations. You have to have a distinct sense of rhythm.

Do yourself a favor and react to Mother, Father. Steve Perry said this was the hardest song he ever sang. The emotion and passion in this song is mind blowing and you can see the exhaustion on his face at the end. Another masterpiece but a song from a long time ago that was not played on the radio a million times for some reason. It should have.
