Matt just like Prince has made a whole album playing all the instruments an doing all the backgrounds and percussion and stuff. Its called Rainbow Valley. He said he can see whole arrangements in his head and its easier to get what he wants when he plays it himself.

At age 16, Matt Corby auditioned for the 5th season of Australian Idol in 2007 where he finished as runner-up! I'm in Texas, USA and I'm probably one of the few Americans that actually got to see Australian Idol, I always downloaded the episodes with Bit-Torrent at the time. I loved the show and I really liked Matt a lot, he was my favorite and what a talent. I'm really glad he's still around and in the business doing what he does best, thanks for posting this video, a very pleasant surprise indeed! You need to check out Matt singing Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter" from Acoustic Night on Australian Idol Season 5, 2007. He's just 16 singing this and he is just simply amazing. My son is the spitting image of Matt. Matt recorded this in a house studio in the middle of no where and they looped the first part of the song over and over to create the harmony.
