Before even singing with her, Church said she might be the best singer he had ever heard and called himself a stylist, not a vocalist knowing he was going to get vocally whooped by her in the Anthem but did it anyway because "he wouldn't miss singing with her for the world." Church knew it going in that she was the real deal.

Eric church didn't want to do the national anthem but then when he was told Jazmine was to join him, he agreed. I actually like his vocals accompanying her in the anthem. The arrangement was soulful and almost church-like. He's a country singer. This is the best music arrangement I've ever heard of the national anthem. Period.

I had to tell you, I posted an almost identical comment, then was checking out everyone else's thoughts. I saw yours and see we perceived it exactly the same. I said "the arrangement was the BEST anthem I've heard, period !! I don't usually like personalized anthem versions, but these two blended their bluesy country, with her soulful pop and it just worked ! Stunning performance.

You're right pretty lady! Eric is my neighbor in Nashville. He'd never heard of her, nor she of him. But from the first time he heard this Uber talented young lady sing, he was blown away! Eric loves to push his artistry and lead by example. So he didn't shy away from performing with a virtuoso like Jasmine. He feels his time with her was transforming and the most he has been challenged in his career. I know she must be a gift from God...with that voice and kind heart. IMO...She humbled herself enough to show him humility by slightly holding back at times, which built his confidence pushing him to new heights. Noone else would have allowed him to equally shine so 🌞. I'm literally blown away by Jasmine talents and her abilities...she can soften hardened hearts of so many.. I thank GOD Jasmine, for his unconditional love, countless blessings, and may HE continue to show us all his grace & mercy even when we aren't deservedly worthy. Precious Lord please heal our hearts, minds,& souls that we may without malice, hate, or anything else that's not of you our heavenly Father be purged/devoid of sins, evils, and transgressions past & present. Only when we accept 💖💕🖤 can all of us his children TRULY live honorably in the complete fullness/holiness of GOD in his precious Son's Jesus' name....AMEN.🙏🏼🎵🎶🌐✌🏼

I usually don't like "personalized" versions of the anthem, ever.... BUT, THIS WAS STUNNING !! This gave me chills. I had never heard Eric, but together they KILLED this, with a blend of country blues and Jazimine's signature pop/soul sound. I think they complimented each other perfectly and that arrangement was the BEST I've heard. Just a beautiful performance. Loved it !

Eric- changed the rhythm and timing with his guitar for her. He kept it in the bag so she was able to fly with it. It’s about the music. Hear those gospel chords he’s hitting. Perfection from both of them.

It gave me that Ray Charles America the beautiful vibe. Had chills Jazz Said America Will know Why I was chosen. That Range she is introducing to us. Like. Where did that come from? Is she a soprano or contralto. I wish this could have been all her. No disrespect to. Uhh. Yeah Eric. But. Jazz would have been the 2nd best to do it after Whitney. Yeah. I said that.

@Bloooooooooooppp3 жыл бұрын
I wish they would have done the song in a key that would have allowed Jazmine to take the melody. I felt like it was a key that he was comfortable with that fit his range better and she had to harmonize around him. But her voice is so amazing she otherworldly!! But i wanted her to have a her moment
@LiTim173 жыл бұрын
Had it been her holding the melody instead of him we wouldn’t have gotten as many improvisations due to her having to focus on both keeping the integrity of the song AND ad-libing here and there. I’m glad he was the one who held it.

You should get more familiar with Erics work. The thing you can't see is how they did this together. With his low to medium and her medium to high tone. Jasmine has some pipes for sure and she nailed it, but if you knew Erics work work you'd know he worked out of his element and played the instrument and also nailed it. Why no credit for him? A beautiful collaboration between two outstanding artists. A truly beautiful and un-botched National Anthem.

I've been subscribed to your channel for like 3 years and I've waited patiently for you to react to one of the best voices ever, Amy Winehouse. I can only imagine it's because you are already familiar with her work and you prefer to react to songs "cold". If that's the case, please react to her live versions (they are better anyway). I suggest you start with Amy Winehouse - Back To Black (Live Acoustic). Just her and an acoustic guitar. If there's a better performance by a singer out there, I've not heard it yet. And if that blows you away, and it will, try Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Acoustic, Live, Best Quality) and Amy Winehouse - Stronger Than Me (Later Archive).
