Thanks for enjoying my song request! Elisa is Italian and sings in both Italian and English. Her talent is off the charts but she's not as well known around the world as she deserves to be. She's a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and produces a lot of her own stuff. She has an incredible body of work and it's eclectic so best not to pin her to any style. It was tough deciding which of her many amazing songs to share, but the gorgeous setting of this video won the day. (It was Andrea Bocelli's concert and she was invited to perform ... I agree, the headline is confusing!)

Her albums 'Here Comes the Sun', 'Lotus' and 'Asile's World' are from her earlier years and are old faves of mine. I was blown away by them, especially given her young age at the time. She has such a range of styles, from sweet and soft and delicate through to big ballads and edgy upbeat tempo stuff. Enjoy your exploring!

A year has passed since this video however I"d like to clarify.... "Teatro del silenzio' (=theatre of silence) is an open air natural anphitheatre among hills in Lajatico a small village in Tuscany, close to Pisa and Volteŕra, who happened to be Bocelli's native town. Every year in July he promotes a music event where artists from allover the world come to perform (this coming year it will be even more beautiful since Bocelli celebrates 30 yesrs of career... this video was about Elisa's "Dancing" performance, a song who had a moment of popularity in the US when was 'played during one "Dancing with the stars" performance... Elisa is so much more not only she's a talented singer anx interpreter and she has a unique voice she's slso multi-instrumentslist and songwriter/composer with over 25 years career and many collaboration with international artists.(Birds with Imagine Dragons and Ghost with Muse...)..If you are familiar with Maestro Ennio Morricone's iconic motion picture soundtracks and Quentin Tarantino's "Djiango Unchained" movie together with Morricone she wrote and then performed with her angelic voice the song "Ancora qui" that's accompanying the scenes if the dinner setting approx at the middle of the film run.
